A Leaf On Float
A Leaf On Float
A leaf broken free, with the autumn's call
Flipped and tossed by the wind at will
The leaf went along, with no will of its own
In an aimless float, that seems to have no end
Unknown to be feared and revered alike
But it's the uncertainty, most men tremble at
Leaf's journey has it all to fine detail
Call it a glamorous adventure or a folly?
Age and disease may conquer the path
Jet diversions and evasions pay the toll
A will unbent once it's set aright
Green to yellow then it is to wither
