A Fantasy World
A Fantasy World
Books have given us life,
Be it the girl on fire that spurred rebellion,
Or chosen one who gave us hope,
The girl with the Godstone,
And the young Half-Blood are just ,
A few of the ones that have given us the strength to cope.
Books have given us knowledge,
From the power of emotions in the Giver,
To the dangers of propaganda perpetrated by the media,
They've let us grow with them.
Eleanor and Park, Percy and Annabeth,
Some
like them have given us hope,
That our soulmates are out there somewhere,
Lily Potter, Tris and Betty Mahmoody,
Have taught us that love can mean sacrifice and heartbreak.
But most of all, books have given us a life,
Filled with adventures and conspiracies,
Far greater than the ones we find in everyday,
And they've opened our eyes,
To possibilities that seemed too far away,
We can fight back,
We will fight back,
To take back what is our own right.
