A Conversation With A Mirror!!

"WHY….? why can’t you love me the way I want you to….?, her mirror yelled at her!

And she just stood there staring and listening to the mirror, her eyes were speaking with her today. Eyes are windows to the soul, they say. you know my heart skipped a beat when you wept on the pillow last night.

How can you expect someone, to treat you as their priority when YOU yourself is not your priority? why? Did their opinion matter so much to you, that you change your mind just to get acceptance from them? Do you even remember, you always wanted to ride that bike, to go on trekking, to try that sexy dress, to join a gym and to join that hobby class, to pursue that dream, which you were weaving from your childhood? Do you? What made you blur your wishes so much that you just put on a mast, and forgot your true self? Tell me!!!

And there was an awkward silence between them for a while.

You know dear you can’t pour from an empty cup. You need to love yourself first, to be happy with yourself first, then only you can love someone. How can you give someone anything, which even you don’t have with you? Maybe you need to love yourself first, and then everything falls into its place.

“You know I forgot to love myself when I was so busy making everyone else happy”. snapped the black eyes to the mirror.

“It’s never too late fall in love with me once again”, replied the mirror.
