A Battle Between Life And Death
A Battle Between Life And Death
There once was a battle,
Between Life and Death.
And the victor got me,
To perish or protect Life’s little stealth.
Finally when the sky,
Wore its most precious colors
Red, orange, blue all together;
The sun and the moon glaring at each other
From one end of the horizon to the other.
The battleground saw something
Happen that day…
Tears falling in the blood-soaked soil;
While the King and Queen were unscathed from turmoil.
My heart was the knight,
My lungs are the rook.
But an echo of her voice
Was all it took.
But Life, don’t let Death fool you.
You cheated this time,
But you’re at war with the inevitable.
A memory, a whisper or my loved one’s glance,
Can’t help you win me, since you
Really are a glorious little trance.
