2020 in a nutshell

Kobe Bryant died, George Floyd died,

The economy dropped, for help we cried.

Covid-19 killed, spread, and smashed,

All our expectations from the year fiercely crashed.

All were depressed, frustrated, and irritated,

From tears and emotions, we all were bloated.

We thought negatively, sobbed, and whined,

It was an extremely rough phase for mankind.

We all were lost, confused, and jumbled,

All the new terms on our heads they bundled.

Quarantine, lockdown, Social distancing,

It was so overwhelming, our brains started bruising.

There was a lack of essentials,

Life was like pieces of puzzles.

We did not know what to do,

It was nearly impossible to go through.

But we avoided the little spark of hope and happiness,

We spent time with our family which was priceless.

It was magical how we discovered ourselves,

We enhance our skills and explored bookshelves.

Not just humans, the earth was pleased,

The largest hole in the ozone recovered and freezed.

The pollution vanished the air got purified,

It was much better and cleaner outside.

The new ways of communications developed and enhanced,

In technology somehow we all advanced.

Zoom, Google Meet, etc connected us virtually,

We figured out ways to communicate effectively.

2021 has started off with a boost,

The vaccine came chances of the virus are reduced.

Let’s live the year with this positive energy,

With mankind and nature let’s maintain this synergy.
