"Nobody knew where it went, but his faith had to be restored."

Now it was getting worse. Dev woke up at 6 in the morning and looked in entire house for the coin and it was clearly visible on Ridima's face that she couldn't see him in this state anymore, after all it had been 3 days, Dev had to get over it. Within a while it was time to leave for their offices. But Dev was lost somewhere else.

Later, in the office it occurred to Dev that the coin might be in Ridima's drawer which he had checked five times in last three days but carelessly didn't remember. So he rang up Ridima but she didn't answer, thinking she might be in some meeting he tried half an hour later. This was weird because Ridima always answered her phone. After coming back from the lunch he tried her office phone and this call also went unanswered. Now this was worrying him. Now he had almost forgot about the coin.

An hour passed away and still there was no response from Ridima. Without any hesitation he dropped a mail saying he had to leave early due to some personal work although he felt as if everything personal was at stake. He immediately booked a cab to home and kept trying Ridima's phone on the way. Now he was quite worried. At that point of time the coin was nowhere in his mind, all he wanted was to be with Ridima .He had almost reached his home when his phone rang up and it was Ridima. He hadn't answered the phone yet but he took a breath of relief. He smiled a little and felt like life was put back into him.

He answered and Ridima asked him to meet him in the park in their area. When he reached there, Ridima was already sitting on a bench. He went there and quietly sat beside her. She asked him why he couldn't accept that he had lost the coin. Dev replied that the 25 paise coin was given to him by his grandfather on his 8th birthday as a souvenir and he passed away the next month, so he always kept that coin safe with him because that made him feel connected with his late grandfather but if he lost it which apparently he had, it would make him feel far away from his grandfather and that was a feeling he never want to have.

Ridima gently extended her hand in Dev's hand and she hadn't seen such a smile on his face ever since they had met. He had expressions on his face like he had achieved something out of the world. In all his joy and happiness , he asked Ridima like a kid "Where did you find it?" . She said that wasn't important, the important thing was that she found it finally.

Ridima was glad to see Dev calm again and they sat there for a while, just looking at the sunset and enjoying the evening with Dev having peace in his heart and Ridima with a secret safe in the deepest corner of her conscience.

"Nobody knew where it went, but his faith had to be restored."
