Social Responsibility

Today’s modern days most of the youth are irresponsible towards social activities. The social activities are being held for the publicity and people are so busy with their life, as much as they aren’t able take care of their own family members........

This is a story of an uncommon man in this world who should be extinct in the 19th century.............

He is a lazy, boring, unemployed, mischievous, naughty guy named Ravi. His daily things are to enjoy with his friends at weekends. Every day he usually meets his close friends Shyam and Jethu. He is very responsible towards social activities and irresponsible towards his family, because he is an orphan.

Jethu is a very well planned and overviewed about his future plans. He never involves in others matters especially in social activities. For the sake of people attention, he used to post the things which are fake and unreal. 

Shyam is the person who is so obedient and very much loyal to the people who trust him a lot. He doesn’t like to show what he has done to others. He avoids publicity around him. 

One day three of them went for a night show movie, while they are coming back from the movie. Ravi saw that a girl has been teased by a gang and she was trying to escape from there. By seeing this he decided to save the girl and want teach the gang a lesson. But jethu was not ready for that, because he can’t take risk about someone going on the road. 

Then Ravi asked his friends to “help him to save that girl”. Jethu refuses to help her. He said that “for someone who is passing on the road I can’t take risk of my life. My family has only me for their needs. So, I can’t help”. Then Ravi questioned that “if your sister is in the place what you will do Jethu, think that every girl at this moment should our relation, because we are living in the same society and we are like a family. Why can’t you understand that thing?” 

For that Jethu replied as “no one cared about my family when we are in needs, especially the same society which you are talking about. And also, my sister won’t get this kind of situation as she will stay at home at this time.”

By saying this he left place Shyam came to convince him but Ravi stopped him by saying “social responsibility should be self-build but can’t be convinced.” Both of them struggled a lot to save the girl and saved the girl. 

Jethu went home and noticed that his sister went to the hospital as her friend admitted in there for emergency. The time was running and it was late night but she didn’t come back to the home. He was tensed and started searching for her. He called all her friends to enquire about where she is and went to the hospital where she wants to go. At last he called his friends Ravi and Shyam to help him. Shyam reacted very harshly towards him saying that the “action which you made will be reacts towards you, face the consequences.” and he cut the call. Next day morning Jethu is even searching for his sister, suddenly a news came that a girl had been raped and killed by a gang at the hospital where she went. By listening to this news Jethu felt more tensioned. His eyes got wet and his heart became heavier with sorrow.

Suddenly the calling bell had rung. With fear he opened the door it was Ravi. He hugged him hard and started crying. Slowly Ravi laughed at him showed his finger towards the gate where his sister had stood.

By seeing her he ran and hugged her. Then Ravi started saying that “yesterday night after saving the girl near the theatre went to the hospital to take treatment for wounds. Then we met your sister there and said whatever happened near the theatre. For your behavior, your sister planned to change you. So, we all wasted a whole night to get an awareness in you.

The moment when your best friend talk to you in a harsh manner your proudness and negative mind has changed. When you saw the news your feel and maturity has developed. Just think for a while, if the same pain will be affected for many parents of many girls like this. If we feel responsible towards the society and fight for the bad that happening in front our eyes, then we can change your country into a greater nation among the world. Let us be stepping stone to future development.”
