Spring Sonnet

Spring Sonnet

Tiptoed a cute little hummingbird

Into an arid land of desolation

There raises joy in the dying mockingbird

To copy the chirpy notes in collation

Poured the rain to the singing harmony

Peeped out the greeny sprout

The desolation transforms to joyous ceremony

The song proclaims an end to drought

Ended dreary days of the mockingbird

The humming notes bring back the impossible

Yet it is a short-term sanctuary of the hummingbird

At this moment, to live in it is plausible

May thy fluttering wings fly thee far away

Still thy humming keeps the blossoms all my way!
