THE LAST RESPONSIBILITY
THE LAST RESPONSIBILITY
Always a smile, how can I carry,
To dwell upon a tree dead,
Branches loose, how can I not worry,
Yet demanded to perform before the Jury.
To perform was never so tough,
For the muscles knew none other than task,
Suddenly whole body has cramped,
Cramped to an extent, couldn’t even stand,
Yet demanded to complete my oeuvre.
With unending pain
And strangled muscles,
I stood up, with yet another try,
A try that’s doomed to fail
But leaving behind a long proud trail.
Soon the Judgement Day was near,
All left was a thick air of fear,
I was left with no other choice,
But to bequeath upon an honour
That time has always hoped for of me.
