Ode to the Momo Man
Ode to the Momo Man
I am a nomad and you came to me as a home,
You are a static piece of a saving dome,
In the world of impermanence,
The non-animated joy of permanence.
Though you came with the pride of a sport’s trippant,
I judged you to be frivolous and flippant.
Even exaggerated as a modern menace,
Made a fool out of me day after day thence…
The feeling of belonging grows stronger,
But you are too slippery to hold for longer;
Yet I trap the feel of home in you
In my gypsy’s uncertain world as a constant hew…
One day a romanticist and another day a classist;
What else do you hold to reveal sports enthusiast?
Stay as beautiful as you are
With all the fancy masks you wear
Beneath them, I sense nobler reality;
Yet, to deal with one of the masks needs immense immunity!
