A Darkened Spirit
A Darkened Spirit
On darkened streets a spirit wanders,
Formless, ageless and restless.
The rain falls cold and heavy
Upon the spirit, a blanket of loneliness
Withered eyes look within for self,
a glint of hope and solace.
Nestled in the arms of night
rocked to sleep by silence
The fire casts forth a shadow,
a mess of black and sorrow.
The mind struggles in vain
In search of a better tomorrow
O Spirit, I invite you inside
The cold is for us to share.
Stay here with me for a while
The life is for us to share...
