On a gloomy Sunday evening

We try to put the pieces of a puzzle together

I see you struggling but you refuse to get help

You toss the puzzle off the table in frustration

"This isn't going to work" you pronounce looking at me calmly

Unsure how long you've been thinking about it,

I start cleaning and gathering all my things- Clothes, cutlery, chef knives

After making sure that I have packed everything properly

I walk towards you to say my goodbyes

Trying to hug you as tight as I can, you don't respond at all

Taking one last glance at the living room,

I finally decide to leave for good

It is always difficult walking away from a crime scene
