We Kissed
We Kissed
Star like lights
Around us,
Shimmering in dark.
Dim, dense, dusky
Sky above us,
With bangs of thunder
And wrenched lightening,
Hot white,
Once has forked
No going back then.
It was time,
I felt it,
I knew it.
My eyes on him,
His on me,
We both
Catching breath.
I was watching,
Tired of waiting,
To feel his lips
Against mine.
And, at long last
I felt like,
A secret told,
A promise kept.
The shower of all my days,
And that silvery rain
Falling around us.
As hot white lightening
Touched the earth.
Fervently and gently
We kissed.
