The Soul That Lived...

The Soul That Lived...

Years went by, hundreds of bygones

Yet, she chose to cry on all those dawns,

When solidarity sets in, how would you escape?

They asked her questions to shake her faith.

She was calm, smiled and said “I have loved”

And the memories are all I need.

She made loneliness her friend, a mask of happiness for the daytime,

But when she sat alone, she fed on the reminiscences of her love.

She was beautiful, bold and amiable,

Love, turned her into a fierce warrior,

Battling against the people, sometimes her own love,

The soul preserved the untouched: her unfading love.
