World In 23rd Century

I know it is rather difficult to imagine how the world would be in 23rd century, when we are even unaware of what is going to happen the very next moment. To tell how the world would be, it is like taking a dive into unknown waters or going on an expedition in the forbidden forests.

The pace of our world is very slow compared to the cosmic watch, but when we compare USA & Uganda, Venice & Vietnam, Singapore & Somalia, etc. it is noticeable. We can see there is a significant gap in the pace of two parts of world. People say world is a global village and we are no more Indian, Russian, American, etc., they call we are global citizens. Then can anybody tell me where these off-pace parts of world will be placed in coming time when we write the history of 21stcentury at the dawn of 22nd century. And now here I am to give you a glance into 23rd century. I felt like going to a planetarium for the first time or felt like writing “A Short History of Nearly Everything” by Bill Bryson. I just want to show you what I see or presume the 23rd century to be. So when you read it just try to keep your foot in my shoe because then only I will be able to show you what I want to.

Now this is how I see the 23rd century to be:-

A man wearing space-suit (as safeguard against the UV rays) and shouldering oxygen cylinder, a PDA in one hand and Platinum shield in other to save himself from the rain of meteors. He is waiting for an Air-Bus on AB-stand. There are only bridges and flyways. All cities are covered in a mist of CO₂, so all humans use to live either in skyscrapers which are as high as 5000 meters, with 1st floor at a 1000 meters from ground or they use to live under the ground that also nearly 500 meters below ground.

Nobody eat food, everybody take pills of food which are prepared by compressing food using yocto-technology (10¯²⁴). Food is grown using vertical farming and Atto-biotechnology (10¯¹⁸). Average height of people use to be 30 inches, weight 15 kg and lifespan as long as 110 to 160 years in developed countries and in under-developed countries it use to be as low as 20 years. One disease still remain unconquered i.e. AIDS, but many more serious diseases took birth mostly related to radiations from sun, radioactive elements and nuclear waste which are neither curable nor can be prevented from spreading.

No power-cuts, no busy communication lines, no waiting queues, no wars of weapons, no epidemic outbreaks. But there are wars for information, non curable diseases, genetic disorders, downpour of meteorites, sea levels rise enormously, hurricanes are a daily activity and acid rains/earthquakes/volcano-eruptions are a common phenomenon. Only one species other than human being from 21st century will be there i.e. Cockroaches and other Dictyopetras will be still alive out there. But many more new species resulted due to disorders produced by UV/α/β/γ radiations and nuclear emissions.

The epicenter of global politics is neither food nor energy, it is the information that matters the most. People seldom saw the sun as the whole sky is crowded with so many satellites and space-labs. Satellites and other major communication devices are the items of mass-production. Cyber-crimes are enormous not only in terms of numbers but also in terms of the destruction they result in. One good thing, there are no major accidents which results in human casualties.

Still there are lots more things to tell but it requires a book to narrate and it might takes many of my nights explaining it, as speculating it took the major chunk of my time.
