Window Seat

 On June 10 as the summer break was going on, the platform was as crowded as a beehive. Passengers looked for their seat number who were travelling on a toy train named' Kalka Shilma express', it started whistling at 6 Am in the morning. All sat down to enjoy the ride, one lady passenger brought a book of 50 rupees from a nearby stall before getting on the train. Colours of the book cover were totally faded but it served a good time-pass gadget for her on a long journey. She opened to read and found the pages were mismatched as if two differently turned books attached together. She began to read," it was a life history of Mahabharat's main character DRAUPADI. She was the daughter of Drupad, the king of Panchal who got married to Arjuna - when he hit an eye of fish with his arrow. later on the wish of his mother Draupadi was married to all five brothers . When Pandavas played the game of chauser with their opponent under the influence of shakuni they lost every single penny and their worthy wife Draupadi. Game took the shape of dirty politics which lead to shameful act of Draupadi's rip off, but lord Krishna saved her pride. The point came when the war of Mahabharata commenced". 

On the next page story reached its climax, the page continued count . "Durga was not respected by the society because she had a poor family background, she was a women of high goal . She always wanted to teach a lesson to them who always made fun of her passion for wrestling. Finally the day had arrived, she was ready for the final round of wrestling this is the best opportunity for her to beat her opponent and win the title of world's best wrestler. The referee whistled, his arm gestured to start the match then the two bulls struck each other by their moves . Durga won the round and title by smashing her rival".

 As she finished with the book coincidently train reached its destination Shimla, she admired the view from her window seat, mountain city all set to welcome its guests. She was shocked as well as amazed to read such a combination of Draupadi and Durga, a thought came in her mind that both names share the common meaning, eventually, it was all about a women's pride whether it was 3000 Bc or the year 2020. She kept the book on her seat so it would make someone else enjoy the journey with its exceptional pairing and left with her luggage.
