THE MEN

This is a story of life—about how you can make yourself a good human being even when you know that the world is very different. A selfish world that thinks only about itself and not about anyone else. This story is about such a person. Now let us move towards a moment where you see humanity from one side, and But Raayan had strong doubts about him—how could this man work for such a low salary? So Raayan talked to Fawad.

Raayan: Fawad, don’t you think this man is a bit strange?

Fawad: No yaar, I don’t think so. He’s needy; he needed work.

Raayan: That’s what you see, but I see something else.

Fawad: Don’t overthink so much. This habit of yours is very bad.

Raayan: Yes, yes—every habit of mine is bad.

They got into a serious argument. Raayan left the place, and the scene cuts from there and moves to Raayan’s side, where his parents were talking.

Uzair Sahib: Listen, I worry about Raayan. He neither does any good work nor studies. Look at Fawad—how educated and hardworking he is.

Maria Begum: You always find faults in my son. Can’t you ever talk to him lovingly?

Uzair Sahib: Hey, I want what’s best for him. That’s why I’ve thought of something for him.

Maria Begum: What have you thought of?

Uzair Sahib: Why don’t we bring Fawad’s sister’s proposal for Raayan?

Maria Begum: Isn’t it too soon? But yes, it’s a good proposal—we can think about it.

Uzair Sahib: Then that’s it. Talk to Raayan, and we’ll take the proposal tomorrow.

Raayan overheard all this, and he had no objection to the proposal. Maria Begum asked Raayan:
Maria Begum: Raayan, do you agree to this proposal if we take it?

Raayan: Whatever you think is best.

That evening, they all went to Fawad’s house with the proposal, and Raayan and Sumaira got engaged.

But that man did not look happy about this. He became very angry.
But why?

That man now started his planning, and it began with Fawad’s mother.
Maryam Begum: Oh listen, please give me my medicine.

Maryam Begum could not walk properly because she had met with an accident, so she was asking for her medicine.

The man: He thought, “This is the opportunity to start my plan.” He exchanged the medicine so that Maryam Begum would not get the correct one, and she kept sleeping deeply.

Maryam Begum: Have you given me the medicine?

Just then, Sumaira said, “Okay, Ammi.” Maryam Begum took the medicine and went to sleep, and this started happening every day—the man kept giving her the wrong medicine.
Maryam Begum began waking up late every day. Her health started getting worse, and she was not recovering.

Fawad felt something strange—that his mother had never slept for so long before. What was happening these past few days? He began to doubt, but he had no proof.

The man: Now he started mixing something in the food so that everyone would fall asleep at night and no one would wake up. This was an important part of his plan.

Masood Sahib: Today’s food is extremely tasty. Who cooked it?

Sumaira: Father, the man you kept for work—he cooked the food.

Masood Sahib: Hmm, that’s why it feels different today.

Sumaira: Yes, father.
They were talking and laughing, unaware that these were only a few days of happiness left for them.

The man: He was smiling—a strange smile—as if he had done something that made him happy.something else from the other side.

This is the story of Fawad, who was a good person—kind-hearted and honest. Life treated him very unfairly, but he never left humanity.

Fawad was a sensible and honest person who served his parents. He did not want much from life, but he often thought about why humans are so ungrateful when Allah gives everything. Fawad had a friend with whom he shared everything that was in his heart.

Fawad’s friend was a very selfish person who thought only about himself and no one else. His name was Raayan—a self-centered and ungrateful person.
In Fawad’s family, there were his mother, father, and one sister. It was a small family living a happy life.

On the other hand, Raayan’s family was completely different. His parents never praised him and always demotivated him. He had two sisters, and both of them lied a lot.

One day, Fawad and Raayan were returning home after offering prayers. On the way, they met a man who was asking people for help, but no one was helping him.

Fawad: What happened to you? What do you need? Are you in some trouble?

The man: Yes, son, I am very worried. There is no food in my house, and my child is hungry.

Fawad: Oh no. Can I help you in any way?

Raayan: Oh leave it. You should not help such people. They lie.

The man: I am telling the truth. I am really poor.

Fawad: Raayan, let me help this man. I am giving you some money; this will help you.

The man: Thank you, son.

Fawad and Raayan left. The entire way, Raayan kept saying that one should not help people like this. Fawad replied, “Leave it to Allah.”

At night, during dinner, when Fawad’s father was talking, there was a sound at the door.

Fawad’s father’s name was Masood Sahib.
Masood Sahib: Fawad, see—someone has come to the door. Go and check who it is.

Fawad: Yes, father, I’m going.
As soon as Fawad opened the door, the same man was standing there. Fawad was shocked—how did he know this was my house?

Fawad asked the man in a low voice.

Fawad: How did you come here? How did you know this is my house?

The man: I know everything about you.
Fawad: What do you mean you know everything?

Fawad got a little scared.

The man: Changing the topic, he said, “I mean, I followed you, and that’s how I reached your house.”

Fawad: But why did you follow me? I already helped you.

The man: Yes, you helped me, but I don’t have any work. Can you get me a job? I will work very hard.

Fawad: What kind of work can I give you?

At that moment, Fawad’s father called him and asked what was happening. Suddenly, the man entered the house and started asking Masood Sahib for help.
The man: Please help me. Keep me for work. I am in great need.

Masood Sahib: Oh, oh, don’t say that. First tell me who you are and how you need help.
The man: I don’t have a job. I want to work in your house. Please help me—my wife and child are hungry.

Masood Sahib: Alright, alright. I will keep you for work. Come from tomorrow.

The next day, the man came for work and started doing all the tasks happily, without any complaints. Whatever Fawad’s family asked him to do, he did silently.
But why was this so?
That will be revealed later…

But Raayan had strong doubts about him—how could this man work for such a low salary? So Raayan talked to Fawad.

Raayan: Fawad, don’t you think this man is a bit strange?

At night, everyone fell into a very deep sleep, as if no sound could wake them. At that moment, the man woke up. He quietly got up and silently went straight toward Masood Sahib and Maryam Begum’s room.
The man entered quietly, holding a knife in his hand. He placed it near Maryam Begum and began to smile.

Maryam Begum woke up from her sleep, but the man covered her mouth and spoke in a low voice.

The man: Stay quiet. If a single word comes out, you will be killed.
He then overpowered her.

Maryam Begum struggled a lot, but she could not save herself, and she passed away.
The man was happy. There was a strange sense of calm on his face.

In the morning, everyone woke up, but Maryam Begum did not. She neither woke up nor made any sound. Fawad asked his sister:

Fawad: Why hasn’t Ammi woken up today?

Sumaira: I think Ammi has gotten used to sleeping late at night.

Fawad: No, she never sleeps this late. You go and wake her up.

Sumaira: Hmm, okay, brother.

Suddenly, Sumaira’s scream came from the room.

Sumaira: Brother, come quickly!

Fawad: What happened? What happened?

Sumaira: Ammi is no more, brother. Ammi has left us.

Fawad: What are you saying? How can this be?
Fawad was completely shocked.
Fawad became very quiet. Raayan tried to console him, but nothing was helping. Fawad’s sister, his father—everyone was unable to bear this grief.
But the man was very happy and at peace. He had already started planning his next move—to kill Fawad’s father.

He found out that sometimes Fawad went to the factory and sometimes he didn’t, so that he could find an opportunity to kill Masood Sahib. And that opportunity soon came.
One day—

Masood Sahib: I’m going to the factory. Fawad, you stay at home. Sumaira is alone.

Fawad: No, father, I’ll come with you. I’ll drop Sumaira at her friend’s house.

Masood Sahib: No, no, there’s no need. I’ll go alone.

Fawad: Father, your health isn’t good. If you go alone, I’ll worry.

Masood Sahib: Hmm, that’s true.

The man: I’ll go with Masood Sahib. After all, I should also get a chance to help him.
Masood Sahib: Yes, that’s fine. Come with me.

The man: Yes, of course.

Both of them left the house. On the way, they kept talking.
The man intentionally asked Masood Sahib some questions about the past.
The man: Do you know that where your factory is now, there used to be another factory before, which caught fire?

Masood Sahib: No, I didn’t know that. And why are you asking me this?

The man: No, no, I just heard this news somewhere, so I told you.
Masood Sahib: Hmm, leave it. We’ve reached the factory.

The man: Yes, exactly.

At the factory, Masood Sahib got busy with his work. It was quite late when Masood Sahib received a call from an unknown number.

Masood Sahib: Hello, who is speaking?
Unknown caller: Don’t you recognize me? I thought you would know me.
Masood Sahib: No, I don’t know you. Who are you?

Unknown caller: Hahaha… it seems that with age, your memory has also faded. I am the same person you wronged.

Masood Sahib: What do you mean? I never wronged anyone.

Unknown caller: Do you want to see who I am and what I am?

Masood Sahib: Yes, I want to see you. Come in front of me.

Just then, the man came forward and said, “Recognize me. I am the same man who used to work in your factory—with my two sons.”

Masood Sahib: No, you can’t be him. And what is your name? You were poor, and you had no family.

The man: I had a family. I worked in your factory, but because of the fire there, both of my sons died. No one helped me. From that day on, I started thinking of taking revenge from you.

Masood Sahib: I know what happened to you was very wrong. I searched for you, but I couldn’t find you anywhere.

The man: My name is Mirza. I was very poor. My wife died from grief, and you did nothing. That’s why I am taking revenge on your family.

Masood Sahib: I feel your pain, and I truly tried to find you through many people. I couldn’t. I also feel the loss of your sons, but that doesn’t mean you should take revenge like this.

Mirza: I will take revenge. I have already ended your wife’s life, and now it’s your turn.
He then set a fire. He had already poured fuel in the office earlier; he was just waiting for the right moment, and now he did it.

Everything was planned so carefully that no one noticed. Masood Sahib cried out, but no one heard him. Then Mirza called Fawad and told him that his father’s health was very bad and that he should come to the hospital immediately. His real intention was something else.
Fawad: Sumaira, I’m going. Father isn’t well and is at the hospital. You stay here and don’t open the door for anyone.

Sumaira: Brother, I’ll come with you.

Fawad: No, you stay here. It’s better. I’m leaving now.
Sumaira: Okay, brother.

Fawad left. The man watched him go. Just then, Raayan arrived and noticed that the man was unusually quiet.

Then there was a knock at the door. Sumaira went to open it.
Sumaira: Who is it?

The man: It’s me, Sumaira. Open the door.

Sumaira: Oh, it’s you. I’m opening it now.

The man (smiling): You made a mistake by opening the door. You have called your own death.
Sumaira: What do you mean? And why are you smiling? How is my father? You were with him, right?

The man: Your father has passed away.

Sumaira: What? What does that mean? And how do you know my father is gone?
The man: I am the one who ended his life. I felt great satisfaction doing it.

Sumaira screamed. Raayan heard her voice.

The man: Hahaha… scream all you want. No one will hear.

He chased her with a knife.

At that moment, Raayan entered the house. He saw the man attacking Sumaira. Raayan tried to stop him, but the man turned on Raayan.

Raayan: Don’t do this. Please stop. This family helped you so much. I always told Fawad not to trust you, but he did.

The man: That was his biggest mistake—trusting me. He shouldn’t have. Now no one from his family will remain.

Raayan, I won’t spare you either.

Raayan: Please don’t—

The man attacked Raayan. They struggled. Raayan was injured and fell.

Sumaira had already passed away. Raayan tried desperately to save her but couldn’t.
The man: My work is done. I’m leaving now. And before I go, remember this: Fawad’s worst decision was helping me. He should never have helped someone like me.

The man left a note for Fawad.

When Fawad reached the factory, his father had already passed away. He found a note that said:

“You made a mistake by helping me. You should never have done that.”

Fawad understood immediately and ran—fearing that something might have happened to Sumaira.
On the way, Fawad cried. When he reached home, he found that Sumaira had passed away and Raayan was unconscious. The man was gone.

Then Fawad found another note that read:

“Sit quietly and don’t think that I spared your life. Your time has not come yet. This was the revenge I took, and now I wait for your revenge.

I will definitely return 😊
Remember me always—and never help anyone again. This was your biggest mistake.”
The End.
But the story is not over yet…
Part 2 coming soon, with many twists and turns—and many unanswered questions.
