Untimely Death

I was so scared, I never wanted to enter the house, it just felt incomplete without her. My pre wedding ceremony was supposed to happen this month, we all were so happy & everything was right on track until I got that call @5:30am from home while I was doing my night shift in office. We talked last Sunday to discuss what I was going to wear on the Roka ceremony. 'I will come from Puri & make all the arrangements' she told me.

I picked up the call it was my sister, 'Mom is not well, come directly to Puri, Doctor has expressed his helplessness' she told in her trembling voice My hands were shivering while I was booking the tickets, the phone screen became blurred. By the time I reached there, everything was over. A sudden heart attack was the cause of her death.

After cremation we all took flight & came back to Delhi. For the first time in my life I was so scared, scared to open the main door lock & step inside the house without her being there. We all loved that home, it used to be so lively but that day it just felt like a.....Graveyard.
