There was a government employee working in central government in one of the Hindi state of India. He was residing with his family. He had a beautiful as well as charming daughter. His parent also accompanied with him. He was a tenant whose house master was a Head-master in the neighboring village. He used to go school daily by his two-wheeler from the town. There were many employees in the colony like him from different offices. Whenever he talked with his master on any holiday, his house owner introduced him with many new people in touch with him. He was known in such way in the locality. There was an employee as old as he who was his neighbor. He was an instructor in Industrial training institute whose wife was an employee in postal department. He had a nice daughter smaller than his daughter. Whenever both girls would meet with each other with their father, they would play together. They were retired to talk with each other. This habit turned into close friendship. There was another young man who was teacher living in the same colony at the stone’s throw. There was friendship among them. Teacher friend used to go for walking with him in morning and evening. Familiarity breeds contempt. 


 His neighbor friend was very sharp and all rounder. All that glitters is not gold. He got along with so many friends. He invited both in so many parties out side town in the motels at exterior remote places ,where so many friends would meet with us. You can catch many flies with honey than vinegar. He was too talented in handling the friends even after taking liquor. He would flatter as well as tackle the new friends in such way that they used to pay all expenditure of the parties. When he noticed this fact very keenly about neighbor friend, he had talked with his teacher friend about instructor’s skill. He was very eager to know about it. He asked to him how our wise friend always managed that much expenditure. Every cloud has a silver lining. He told him that he first picked up the goat in good faith. He would invite such new target in his pre-arranged parties twice or thrice. He used to make such friends mentally prepared for the parties on their turn. He took him to the pre-decided place as per scheduled plan. As soon as they reached and occupy the table some more friends would come there. He would pretend as if they were not at all invited. He introduced later them with host friend, flattering him to the limit of sky. Hence the host friend’s chest get too widened asking them to join. In this way he always used to enjoy the parties in free from different host . His teacher friend cautioned him about that trick. He told him that he would be the next target in near future. When he was able to make concrete relation with various host friends, he used to barrow some hand some amount for some urgent essential work with assurance of returning it. He never returned it to them. Whenever he bounded to return it to someone, he firstly borrowed it from another host. Both of them were get invited in the party and his amount was being returned for payment of party by flattering him. he would killed two birds by a single stone in this manner.


His wife went back to her father’s home after few months. She herself asked for transfer to that place. He was staying alone in that rented home. He used to go his native place on holidays. His wife did not come back again. When he was asked about his family, he told him that she was transferred at her native place on her past submitted application before marriage. He was also making effort to get transferred at same place. His teacher friend disclosed the truth about him. He had misguided his father-in-law about his ad-hoc job. There was a family dispute and clashes among them. That’s why ,his wife had left him in protest. It was uncertain about his job confirmation. The ad-hoc job was being managed by giving some bribe to concerned officer.

He was too wise in networking to make new stupid friends. He would barrow huge amount from various friends. When one of the friends compelled him for returning the amount, he made him fool. He came to know that his friend wanted to purchase new motorcycle. He told him that his some fixed deposit was about matured soon. Then he would return his entire amount after encashment. His friend agreed for it after seeing the certificates. He played new trick with him. He convinced him that the new motorcycle from Capital show room would be more cheaper than the local. He showed him the calculation too. He asked him to pay difference amount required for payment of bike. Innocent friend paid the balance amount to trickster. He neither brought the new bike nor returned the amount to him. He was just beating him around the bush every time.


His neighbor friend was aware of all his tricks. He wanted to buy new LML Vespa scooter from the Capital. He asked his cheater friend to be accompanied with him. He purchased it. They went to his father-in-law ‘s home to meet his wife. He could not meet with his wife freely due to spoiled relation between them. She would avoid him. When we entered into home, his mother –in-law came to welcome. His wife just escaped by skin of her teeth for office. He was cold feet. As you sow, So you reap. It was not a piece of cake to convince his wife. His friend felt pity on his married life. His extra ordinary wisdom and cheating activities spoiled his life. It was of no use crying over a spilled milk. He was transferred to another city after few months. What would happened with him later. he could not see !. But that friendship taught him a lesson “Don’t judge the book by it’s cover“.
