Tribal Tragedy

                 

There was a big family belong to scheduled tribes residing in the neighborhood of Nagpur city at stone’s throw. one of the family member who was youngest went to school for taking education in near by villages. Any how he had completed his high school education, but he couldn’t appear for board examination. He wasn’t interested in doing their traditional job of farming. He would come to city for selling their farm products with his elder brother. since he was educated ,he would help his elder brother in money matter. He would read newspaper whenever it would be available either in his village or elsewhere. He came to know about the filling of vacancies in the group “D” cadre through district employment office while reading newspaper. He had already registered his name in the office. Though he wasn’t matriculated, but he was very clever as well as alert in mass communication. He just went to concerned office in the city. He inquired about recruitment of group “D” post in the office. Concerned officer asked his employment card. After looking the list of candidates to be called for interviews. He told him that your call letter already sent to his address. He confirmed the date and time of interview. He faced the interview and posted in one of the central government office in the city. Unfortunately, he couldn’t pass his tenth board examination, otherwise he would have retired as an officer at time of superannuation.

           

   He had two sons and youngest daughter. His sons weren’t as clever as he was. Though he had encouraged them for education, They couldn’t pass tenth board examination. But his daughter had passed twelfth board examination. She did some additional courses like embroidery, typing ,computer so on. She couldn’t pass any competitive examination. All his kids couldn’t take the benefit of caste for making progress in their life. All of them were doing job in private sector. The master of the home retired from his job before completing his social responsibilities of family.

                 

He decided to get his daughter married soon after retirement. He searched so many match boys for her daughter. His daughter was fairly good looking with fair colour. Since he built his home in the city, his family wasn’t ready to get marry their girl with a boy who lived in village. Any how a boy who was very smart and staying in a village on the road at hair’s breadth. The boy and his elder married brother were working in the same company. They had their own house in the village where two brothers with their mother were staying. When he inquired about the boy, nobody told him about the drunker boy from the villagers as well as relatives.

                    

 There was marriage function in the city where all their relatives and friends from either side were present. The bridegroom drunk wine with daily friends. His elder brother begged pardon for his brother. Any how the marriage ceremony was concluded. Bride went to her husband home. She observed that her husband would drink daily. She tried to make him understand that his habit of drinking daily wasn’t good for his health as well as for family welfare. But he couldn’t change his habits as leopard never changes it’s spot. She shifted him to city so that he would be away from his bad company. But she couldn’t change his drinking habit even after doing all possible effort. The family members decided to go for break up. She got divorce from him. after few months, her ex-husband and mother expired.

                  

There was her relative staying at Julgaon which was very far from Nagpur. Her lady relative when came to know about her divorce. She met with sad family. Her parent get her married with a widower from higher caste. She was quite happy. She just inquired about the worst incident with their daughter. She extended her sympathy with them. At same moment, she had  given a solid proposal for their daughter. She told the master of the family that there was young widower whose wife was dead during delivery with her dead baby. They were ready to marry with a scheduled tribe girl. If they were ready for the proposal ,she would make effort for her marriage Whole family thought on her proposal and they had given their consent. Both of them were ready for the marriage after meeting. Her parent get her remarried. Though she was far away from her parent, but she lived in city and happy with new family by giving birth to beautiful baby.
