Peek into the past and the past might give answers, thought Chandra; as she went through the big album, holding all her memories in the form of photographs! The only answer that she was searching for was, what had actually happened to her three years ago, was it just an accident?! Or evil act? She pondered, not reaching any conclusion!

Chandra, a bibliophile, as she would address herself, was more into books than into play, since a child. She would say books are her true friends because they would never judge her! They would answer all her questions, from silly ones to Einstein's theory of relativity. 'What extra do I need', she would think!

Her love for books was not just an inborn thing, it came from her father. He would gift her books as presents in her every birthday instead of just toys! He sure knew that they are going to be a great help to her.

Chandra, inheriting the habit of reading from her father, knew just a thing, that is, to read and garner knowledge. If she picked a lot to read, she would try to retain it in her memory by using a mind map. She would imagine her brain to be made up of different compartments, like a bookshelf with different racks, and would put related things in her mind's compartment. She could retrieve them as and when required! Such smart she was!

A rank holder in her school days, which continued in college, drove her into science. She would read day and night, without getting much tired! She would immerse herself into books.

Chandra was in her prime, when she noticed very absurd happenings around her. Till then she was not exposed to corruption, cunningness, backstabbing. All the negativities happening around her would boil her blood. But, she failed to muster up the courage to raise a voice!

She recollected her first love; how she wanted to be with him; forever, holding hands, she thought they are meant to be, it was all in her imagination, she never expressed it, she would have been bold, mustered some courage to tell how much he meant to her in the world! The thing that she didn't know was all her feelings are one sided!

She was once on the Miami beaches, basking under the sun, yet another time she would be a giant blue whale traversing the whole length of the ocean! She would think of herself as a reincarnation of the Lord himself! It's not just her imagination, she was barely in her senses, because it was all hallucinations! for the bad or good, she was diagnosed with schizophrenia! A mental condition!

Once she came into her senses, she would ask the almighty, several times a day, why her?! Was it not enough for him that he gave her a chronic mental illness?! And now he had to steal her only support in the world, her father?!

Only thing she did not know was too much of anything can be too bad!

It was when she joined her degree, She was a topper there too! so far so good, but, no one expected that her driving force, the quest for knowledge would make her brain go off track.

In her short journey with books and the zest to learn and gather knowledge, she missed the important thing, the knowledge of psyche! Thinking back she would regret not reading about it! But, for her the brain itself would make her wonder, how the brain did not realise that it's going for a toss?!

She was breaking within, stuck within her own maze! Brain map didn't come to rescue! May be it was for her to realise that mastering studies didn't really mean mastering the life! Studies are just a part of life, but, not life itself!
