The Three Friends

Once upon a time there used to live three friends- Ram, Hari and Shyam. Hari was the wisest among all. Ram was the most intelligent among all. One day they all decided to go to the town in search of work. The way to the town was through a forest. They went to the forest. They were tired but continued to move. When they were in the middle of the forest, it suddenly began to rain. Ram and Shyam asked Hari, "What to do now?" Hari said, "If we want we can take shelter under the tree but what if wild animals attack us. We should take shelter in that cave." All of them liked the idea and went inside the cave. They ate the food they carried and rested for sometime. When the raining stopped they wanted to go out of the cave but Ram said that he wants to go more deeper in the cave. Hari and Shyam said that they will wait for him here.

Two hours passed, but Ram did not return. Hari and Shyam were terrified. They went in search of Ram and soon saw him. They saw that he was made into a statue. They also saw a giant performing a yajna and saying that after performing this yajna he will become immortal. Shyam was so scared that he hit the wall with his head. A magical sword came out. Shyam grabbed the magical sword. Hari said that he will go and make the giant's mind away from the yajna and in the meantime, you go from back and kill the giant. As planned they went and killed the giant. Ram became normal. The three friends were overjoyed. Shyam was very honest so he decided to put the sword back to its original place. As he was doing so a voice stopped him. It came from the cave and said, "Shyam you are very honest and brave. I offer you my magical sword and gems of this cave." Shyam was delighted. He took the magical sword and the three friends continued on their journey.
