This story is about a boy called Raymond and his Father Mr. Williams.

His father was a rich guy. He had earned lot of fame, name and money. He was one of the richest persons in New York. He wanted his son to live a lavish life and never miss her beloved mother who had died due to cancer. But love of mother is irreplaceable. Father knew that, but he thought that a young boy like Raymond who is still immature could be made happier with luxuries, things but it was somewhere not the latter's view.

Raymond though gifted all wealth and luxuries by birth and that all because of his father but he could not get so close to his father as he was to his mother. Raymond was an adamant and emotional boy who just wanted his mother back which was impossible. His father did not marry another woman as he was afraid Raymond will never adjust to it. But Raymond did not understand this truth ever. He always thought that father had enough time for meetings, money but not for him. That's why he was always busy at office and just asked about his well being to discharge the basic duty of a guardian.

So, lonely Raymond made friends as his family. He used to spend a lot of time with his friends only. He used to spend most of his time with his friends through parties, group study, get togethers. He made a girlfriend to share whatever he could not share with anyone. She was nice and caring. But even she could not bring him close to his father.

One fine day Raymond was there at his friend's farmhouse. They were having a lavish party. There were drinks, chicken, girls everything. All were wearing fancy masks and dresses.

Raymond was enjoying and dancing near the pool with his girlfriend. He was happy with his friends. He was dancing and eating Chicken pieces. Then suddenly one of his friends who was also masked, came from back and pushed Raymond a bit hard. Raymond fell into the pool. Raymond did not know how to swim. So he sank into water. Before people could judge anything, water entered in his lungs and he went into a critical state.

People rushed him to the nearby hospital and informed Mr. Williams. Mr. Williams rushed and reached there. He asked the Doctors about his son.

They said that lungs were infiltrated with water as a sudden jerk into the pool had caused too much water to enter into his windpipe and lungs. So lung transplant was required.

But the problem was there were no lung donors in New York at that time and Raymond needed immediate help as ventilator support could not be given for long.

Mr. Williams approached the senior doctors and asked what were the requirements for a lung transplant and whether the donor can be aged than the receipent?

Doctor said yes. Just one medical examination is required.

The next day, Raymond woke up. He saw all his friends near his bed. They were all happy to see him opening eyes. He held his girlfriend's hand and asked "Is my father here in the hospital or is he still busy with his meetings and money? I believe you are the only one who loves me. I will leave him and spend my life with you. I am done with him. I was at deathbed and he did not have time for me. You all are there but he is not.

His girlfriend tried to calm him down but he did not.

Then suddenly a lawyer entered in to the ward and asked him to sign some papers. Raymond opened the file and saw them. He got furious.

They were related to his father's property which was being transferred under a power of attorney cum will to him in advance.

Raymond was awestuck, puzzled and confused.

Where is my father? Just say something, Where is my father?

Mr. Lawyer why this power of attorney? Is he feeling so shameful for his sins that he has transferred property to cover them up. Or is he so busy in his meetings that he did not have time to see my face.

I was lying on a deathbed for god knows how many days but he thinks money can buy him everything. By transferring the property to me, he thinks he can discharge his paternal duties. He is wrong. He is wrong. I hate him. Bring him to me. I will break all relations. I will live with Cindy and I will never see his face.

Suddenly his girlfriend shouted, cried and replied:

"Raymond how can you be so silly. How can you be so blind. You don't realise what have you lost today. You are just, just I am speechless.

You know you had the best father Raymond but the problem was that you could not see his heart. Your hatred had consumed you and made you blind. Last to last night, when you were pushed in swimming pool your lungs were damaged as water had entered in your windpipe along with food.

There were no lung donors in the entire NewYork and you were losing time. Nobody out of us , none of your friends were able to help you.

We all were just praying for some miracle to happen. But your father did not wait. He believed miracles are sometimes forced to happen. When he came to know of all this, firstly he calmed all of us, made us feel comfortable. Even the boy who had pushed you came and asked for forgiveness. If it had been my father, he would have slapped, kicked and punched that guy but your father hugged him and asked him to stop crying. Your father asked him to have water and eat food and go back to home and say nothing to anyone. Then, he asked all of us to go back to our homes and after that without anyone of us knowing this, he silently went to the senior doctor and when we all had left for our home he went for the operation and donated his lungs to save you.

Raymond one thing you said correctly. He was a good businessman. He purchased your life by sacrificing his own. He knew you had lots to see and he had already seen a lot. So he wanted you to have what you deserved by compromising with his own. He knew how to defeat God in his plans and he knew how to make his son a winner.

He knew he won't be alive to see your face but he knew you will live and he made arrangements for your living post his death too.

He was truly a clever businessman and honestly a selfless father."
