The town of Hambledon was famous for its money lenders, one of them being Brian Adley. The people of other towns also came to these people for consulting about business. Brian and his wife were very superstitious who believed that a cat could change their fortune. One day Amelia, unknowingly stepped on the tail of a cat. This made Brian very furious. He scolded his wife, grunted at her and went out to meet his friends at the local area where he and his friends would meet every evening. "I am surprised to see you here." said Brian to Kenneth who was one of his close competitors. "I thought you said that you didn't have time for all this." Kenneth was speechless. Until then came running Kenneth's son. "Dad, mum is calling you. She's got to tell you about a.....about a secret." "Sssh. Come we'll go." That whole evening the party discussed about Kenneth and the secret. Brian, who could not digest it, did not think it important to tell it to his wife and directly went to sleep.

The next morning when Brian woke up, with his eyes still closed, called out to his wife. He was not answered. "It seems as if she has gone to the parlour again." he thought. As he opened his eyes he could actually see the sky. He was not lying under a roof! The town had nothing left in it. It was a piece of plane land. At a distance he could see the only building left, which was a library. He decided to go and check out there. As he reached there, he could hear some strange voices. "I want you to bring me the fortune book." "Ok sir." "Fool, I have made him busy. Now there is no one to stop me!" Brian was totally puzzled about all this. He was keen to about the man whom he heard and the secret. He thought it useless to stand there and so he set out to explore the library. Luckily, there was something between the boring, historic books, which caught Brian's attention. A book named, '7 Points To Remember'. "What could this be?" he thought. He opened the book to read, "Zim- Zam-Zu, Za-ambia Lu." As soon as he completed reading the spell, he could hear many voices around him. "Perhaps, this spell teaches to read minds! I don't want to read the other 6 spells. God knows what may happen to me!" saying this, he kept the book in a shelf, behind some books, intending to hide it. As he advanced towards the third floor, many faint sounds turned into one clear voice. It said, "Next I have to damage the walls of the Chelburn reservoir so that the whole Abbotsbury drowns." "Unbelievable! I can't believe that he could have done all this.
