THE MYSTERY OF GOLDEN BRICK

 

One scorching sunny morning Emily, Jane, Ronald and Sarah were playing checkers in the veranda.”There is hardly any new case in town. The heat’s burnt them all, said Emily”. Even our intellect is burning down like those cases...You’re right Ronald...Jane prompted ....When all of a sudden the mystery telephone rang...... Trrrinnngggg... Trrrinnngggg....Who can it be now? Ronald quizzled. Probably a new case Emily whispered. Hello Mystery 4 reporting, Sarah said. Hello is this bakery. I’d like you to get me a hamburger and pasta along with fish and curry. Excuse me this is not the bakery and I didn’t know that the bakery sells hamburgers. Sarah yelled furiously. Whatever, dare not mess with me you tiny..............kid......adult.....Whatever, and the speaker slammed the phone on Sarah’s face. The next moment...Ting Tong went the door bell and Emily rushed to open it... Mystery 4 I need your imperative assistance...the gentleman said in an unnerving tone .Calm down sir and tell us what happened. The man Mr Eldorado was in his mid sixties, gracefully attired with Rocia crisp shirt and exhaled the rare expensive Versace perfume of France ... His leather shealth watch strap and the double collar crisp cotton shirt embarked the symbolic identity  that he belonged to the rare Elite class of Liverpool ...He told....I was sleeping in my cot when Achoooooooo.........Ok let us note it down  you were sleeping in your cot when Achoooooooooo, seriously. Well stop joking Crucia (Sarah’s codename)......Continue sir Ronald interrupted. I was sleeping in my cot when I heard  loud banging on the door, Aster my caretaker had told me she would not come and as you know I am new in the town nobody would come and meet me at such odd hours..As I opened the door I saw that nobody was there and as I’d already got up I thought why not take a little stroll in the backyard .While going I saw that somebody had snuck into my basement using the back gate . I rushed to the basement and found not a sign of a thief but the GOLD BRICK had vanished .Please help me find it mystery 4.You are my only hope. Well this seems like a case for mystery 4 Emily said...We told him to go so that we could talk and discuss about the case. Hmmmmmm so leader Emily what should we do asked Sarah. Wear your secret outfits and microphones and let’s got to 22 Norton Street. Emily ran fast and the others followed. When we reached we saw Mr Eldorado waiting for us and Strop the policeman. Well Strop is this policeman in our competition; he always tries to solve the mystery before us. Am I early this time also chaps well yes I am, try harder next time...Bye........... He said. Let us start the investigation Crucia said .So let’s begin............ Emily said. We all fled to the mansion Sarah and Emily were supposed to check the basement and the garden, Ronald and Jane would check the kitchen and bedroom. When both the teams are done we choose the other places. GO....Sarah and Emily decided to explore the basement first. As they went in Emily could smell a perfect mystery .The thief wasn’t a normal one he was a professional one but nothing compared to me. Emily noted or so to say scratched everything in our detective pad. Sarah so what do you think Emily said. Sarah said I assume this thief to be a pro.There is no marks to identify the thief. Good prediction but a part of it is wrong. Even if the thief was good we will be better right, let’s be confident Emily said. Look there I said Sarah turned and saw a fake moustache. So it means the thief didn’t have a moustache or beard. Next look there and I pointed it’s a spectacles. The thief used to wear specs but he or she lost it here. Next by the window we saw huge, dark footprints of boots. So the thief had long legs and he or she stepped in a muddy area before. So we are done with the basement, let’s check the garden. When we reached the garden we saw a chit with 22 Norton Street and golden brick written. So the person knew that Mr Eldorado had a golden brick. We questioned Mr Eldorado and he said the maid who has be working here for 10 years and she was present when the robbery occurred the butcher who had taken a leave that day and the servant who was and still is in Russia. So all the suspects can do it. Emily asked Sarah to call the rest for a meeting as we got the list of suspects. In 5 minutes everybody reached our hideout and we discussed the things we understood and Sarah and Emily collected the most evidences. We got the maid’s and the butcher’s address. Sarah and Emily went to the butcher while the other two went to the maid. They told us that Mr Eldorado had allowed them to tell it to anybody and the news had spread like wildfire. We were like wow this case is growing into a tree and each leaf is important. We gathered all the evidences and you know what, I got an idea. I will visit the cobbler now. When I came back from the cobbler and talked about the things with my friends we found out that the mystery was solved. The butcher had huge feet and he had recently bought a pair of boots. When we reported the man to the Mr Snooze we were congratulated for our presence of mind and my team gave me the full credit but I said that without my team this was impossible
