After an hour Dev was standing outside the house of terror for the police procedural to get completed. His phone rang loud which jerked him off. Dev answered the phone, it was a robotic voice which laughed vigorously with vengeance and part of joy all he heard at the moment was a thunderous “HAHAHAHAHAHA”. With such state of mind he was really pissed off with whoever was on the other side. There was a moment of silence in the conversation; there was a sudden gunshot sound which went “BAAAAMM” Dev had already started to search for who the caller would be in his senses. “And this is how the bullet passed through the tiny little heart of your wife” said the caller. The caller is clearly the killer but unknown of his identity. The killer continued to talk “Dev you’re such a blindfolded looser, I know by this time your police brain would have sequenced how your wife was murdered, but listen it’ll be fun; your wife fell into my trap, she was doomed in blackout, pity a wife of a deputy commissioner fears dark.” By the time the killer narrated the beginning, Dev got his sweat of fear running down his spine. The killer continued “ firstly the floor was greased by caramel, I then let the rats play with her; she was like a kid running all over the place with pain of a rats bite, I know its harmful for her health, to clean up the mess I sprinkled concentrated Sulfuric acid like drizzles of rain .” Dev could feel the pain that his better half perished. Dev started crying silently , tears were running down his eyes as he continued listening.

The call was discontinued by the killer, meanwhile the autopsy report was just the same as he narrated. Dev cried out loud and decided it was the last time he cried for his love, with the greed of revenge he wiped of his tears and got back to his jeep. Ravi accompanied Dev to his home to avert Dev deluge in loneliness. While both Ravi and Dev returned home , they found a scrap paper lying just inside the house saying “ You are never alone! There is a demon watching you” Ravi was baffled seeing this; Dev was ready to face the killer all by himself. Dev spent the whole night searching for answers of the true identity of the killer, Scooby was bonded with Dev so much that it could sense his sorrow and kept awake the whole night. As soon as the sun started shining, both the police officers started their work on the case they called as ‘UNKNOWN’. Dev visualized the scenario that happened last night; meanwhile Ravi went to the cyber crime to trace the location and id of the number. Dev analyzed the call was incomplete and the killer would contact him again sometime, Ravi came up with the intel provided by the cyber crime department that the killer’s location synced at Belmon point with the exact same spot where the horror occurred and the place where Dev was present. Fragments of instances, occurred last night were running on Dev’s mind ; the call got ended while Dev was silently crying. The killer was watching Dev the whole time during their conversation and those tears were exactly what the killer wanted. With an unknown shadow Dev saw the killer walk away after he was satisfied.

Dev looked at Ravi reminding him of the parchment paper they found in his apartment. It was not a natural occurrence of wind carrying the paper, but the killer himself who paid a visit to his favorite bait and left him a note. Ravi smelled the fear in Dev’s action after sorting out things they were up to. Dev was very curious to know who the killer would be and his source of origin. There was a notification sound from the fax machine in Dev’s office room; the fax made Dev’s eyeball look out its socket as it was a picture of his house door, this time the killer wasn’t from outside but from the hallway in his house which he left locked while drawing near to work.
