The Mystery At Cemetery

People often say, there are no such things as ghosts in daylight but they often become fearful if they heard a strange noise at night. He was also one of them who disbelieved the existence of ghosts.

One day John made a discussion on the existence of a ghost with his friend Joseph. He tried to prove that there were no ghosts and his friend opposed him. At the end of discussion Joseph asked John 'If there are no ghosts, could you spend tonight at the cemetery'?. John agreed and asked Joseph to disbelieve in the existence of ghost if he did so.

Time is now half-past seven. It's time to go to the cemetery. Joseph dropped John at the cemetery and has gone back home. John's mind started wandering around. Several doubts started pounding in his mind.'Are ghosts real'? If they are real, what would I do alone here?

The place grew darker, the barking of dogs changed to howling, and a huge breeze blew over the cemetery. John felt like his courage is melting. Then too he controlled his fear. He felt like something is poking him at the right shoulder. His heart throbbed faster and faster as he looked back. The scene shocked him, 'a bony skeleton'.

John couldn't hold on to the challenge anymore. He paced back home. He didn't look back as he felt that someone was behind him. Somehow he managed to reach home. Fatigue had already robbed his mind and body. As soon as he saw the bed he slept like a corpse.

The next morning, John couldn't recall anything that had happened last night, except the bony skeleton. Suddenly his phone rang. John rose up quickly and went to the phone. It was his colleague on the phone. He informed John that his best friend Joseph passed away last night in an accident near the cemetery.

John started shivering. He was in shock, pain, and chaos. He just uttered a few words madly at Joseph's funeral, "Are you that bony apparition?" and nothing more.
