Deep in the Himalayas, the mountains were covered with snow and the valleys a lush green. The Himalayan range was an abode of heaven for the residents of the village of Kashipur. Inside the village of Kashipur lived a monk about 40 years old. He lived alone. He never married. All his day would be completely devoted to meditation and yoga. He lived a peaceful life.

His day started with the rising sun. The first chore that he would perform would be taking a deep breath outside his home and walk out to the kitchen for a cup of herb tea. After a span of half an hour and would go for a bath and put on his monk’s clothes to go for his meditation work. In a day he spent almost 5-6 hours in meditation. He usually consumed rice and vegetables for his lunch and some fruits added to it as well. Dinner was simpler- roti and vegetables. He was known for his simplicity, low profile and calm nature among the villagers in Kashipur.

A knock on the door- A lady with winter clothes and a winter scarf. She knocked the door twice on the monk’s door. He opened it after a span of five minutes. It was around 1:00 AM at night. She visited him usually once or twice a month.

Is this a secret that the monk had? Yes! Secrets are private. Secrets keep you alive and secrets are entirely yours.
