The Magic Makeup Box
The Magic Makeup Box
Once there lived a beautiful girl named Urmila in a small town. She studied in college and all her friends would ask her the secret of her beauty.
While in her second year in college, she saw an advertisement for the Femina Miss India competition. She wanted to take part in it.
She asked permission from her parents who readily agreed. Her father himself offered to accompany her to the competition venue.
On the stipulated day, Urmila and her father set out on their journey. While passing through a sense jungle, their car stopped due to some problem.
Urmila's father tried to fix it up. However, when he could not succeed, he went a little farther to get some help. Meanwhile, Urmila who was sitting inside went out of her car and started walking the dense jungle.
While thus walking, she came across a house. She went inside hoping that she might get some help.
There she saw a witch applying makeup and saying to herself that now she would look beautiful always. Seeing Urmila she came to her and offered her makeup box!
Urmila hesitatingly agreed and brought the makeup box with her. Meanwhile, her father had also repaired the car.
After reaching their destination, just as Urmila applied makeup from the makeup box, she started getting headaches and her whole body started aching.
Even after showing to a doctor, her condition did not improve. On the advice of an employee of the lodge where they were staying, they took Urmila to a fakir baba who had mystical powers and was an expert in removing evil energies from people and was an antaryami!
The fakir baba told after examining Urmila that the latter had taken a magic makeup box from a witch which was the reason for her bad health. Then he gave a thread after reciting some hymns and mantras and told to tie it in Urmila's wrist.
Just when the sacred thread was tied around Urmila's hand, the evil spell subsided and she started becoming normal.
Then the makeup box was thrown away and finally, Urmila was able to take part in the Miss India contest.
She stood first runners-up and was eligible to represent India in an international competition named Miss Grand International next year.
She then returned back home happily with her father with her crown and happy memories. And the sacred thread was still tied to her wrist!
