The lost Boy
The lost Boy
Amidst the dense bright green woods beneath the heavenly celestial sphere lived a young cheerful boy named Soham. Full of life, he was the soul of the family. He had a keen interest in football and played it all day long. He wanted to play football as a day gig but instead, life played a dreary game with him. It was November, the sky had an orange touch to it, the sun light was dim and so was his future. As on that day government organized a free full body checkup for the locals of the area. Everything went well throughout the day untill came the turn of the young boy. Leukemia was Diagnosed, life came to a standstill for the boy, too surprised to speak anything tears started rolling down his face, darkness took over his eyes, his belief splintered, the news eclipsed his dreams. Shattered, he went up to his family. Words fell short and tears started rushing his eyes as soon as he saw his mother. He told them about the report with a heart heavier than the disease itself. And as the number of white blood cell multiplied his possibility to become a renowned football player decreased by the same multiple. A stage came when he lost all the hopes to live and thought that his role in the stage of life was a very short one. It is difficult to recover when a person suffer from a fatal disease but it is way more difficult to recover when the disease dominates up to such an extent that the person lose interest in living. The disease depressed his soul.
He often found himself in a dilemma between fighting the disease or submitting to it. He soon lost his will to live. He didn't want to be cured, locked himself inside a room visibly which was made up of walls but actually it was made up of the negativity that was filled in the boys mind. His family was clueless about what to do. They tried to insinuate the will to live inside the boy's mind but all their attempts were like beating a bush of nothingness to get the grain of willingness. Diwali was round the corner when Soham went to the nearby village for the routine checkup. Next day the reports came, the village postman handed them to Sohem's father. As soon as the poor old man had a glance on the report his face turned white the cancer-named monster had reached its last stage, the festival of lights brought darkness to the family.
Unaware of his fate the young boy was passing by the riverside where he saw a bunch of children playing football elegantly. Fascinated by the incredible sport the boy was unable to hold himself back, he asked the boys to play a match. While playing the game he lost himself into a world of happiness and even the thought of the deadly disease didn't cross his mind. He got the most important thing without which his treatment was like this universe without the heavenly father, it was the will to live. Now he wanted to live, he wanted to grow, he wanted to be cured, he wanted to be the football player. He came out of the room where he locked himself. But wait oh young boy was that too late asked his mind, No shouted his spirits. And he won the most difficult battle, battle from one own self. Proper medication and love of dear ones helped him out of the horrible disease and later on with dedication, persistency, and hard work he became India's best football player.
