The Little Lamb
The Little Lamb
I saw a little lamb, as dirty as ever, looked so lost.
Then, I asked it, 'Dear little lamb, are you lost?'
It replied, 'Yes, my sweet little girl'.
I pointed to a flock of sheep by a riverbank, 'Over there's your family.
The lamb shook its head and answered weakly, 'No, little girl. They left me because I followed the shepherd'.
Looking around, not a single soul nearby, curiously I asked, 'Where's the shepherd? I don't see him anywhere, near here.'
I kept on looking around.
'He also left me.
I was surprised, 'Why did he leave you?'
The lamb heaved a sigh and said, 'He asked me to think for myself and don't just be a blind follower. Then, he left me.'
It continued, 'I prefer chicken burgers more than those green grass. Is that weird? I love iced lemonade rather than that stream water. Is that unacceptable? I'm not a blind follower. I just do what I love the most. Why it's so hard for him to accept it? I'm so confused right now. I don't know what I did wrong. Dear little girl, do tell me.'
Poor little lamb. I don't know what to tell it. So, I bid it goodbye and left it to ponder more.
*What do you think, guys? What should I tell the little lamb to ease its burden? Still thinking right now. And, got no answer yet.
