He was standing atop the sky tearing skyscraper, headquarters of the MNC he worked in. Time and luck had washed and driven him from a mediocre cubicle to the CEO office. His elegant Armani suit, which he took meticulous care of, loomed deranged and worn off.

The setting sun radiated it's golden rays into the sky, which made the clouds appear as pieces of golden cotton floating in the air. A cool breeze made his tie swing from side to side. Tears covered his handsome face. He took a last sip of his favourite Scotch, which reminded him of the thousands of business meetings and hundreds of signed contracts, all of which contributed to his success.

His face crumbled, which expressed bursts of utter melancholy melting hid heart and consuming his mind. He smashed the glass. The exquisite Scotch splattered on the rooftop helipad. He started moving towards the edge stumbling and staggering. He looked down and delaying an instant, he walked beyond the edge and fell free.

Free from the miseries of life and into the only inevitable reality. The reality that people tend to escape, not realizing that their efforts are but futile and useless. Here stood a man who was courageous enough to confront the reality. He fell but still he stood. It was his Last Stand. The only stand that matters.
