The Great Espair !!!

Dwindle earns a living by working in a bookstore. The eldest daughter is married to the richest advocate in town. The second one was married to an elite police officer. The youngest one is quirky, the smartest, and also a renowned crime novelist. For her novel, she can go to any extent, and most of her stories are based on true events happening around her. She has been looking for one more story, and she was clueless about what she should write.

One fine morning, in the paper, her eyes caught a glimpse of a murder. Her interest turned to that one incident. She started her journey by gathering all the information related to the murder. By the end of the day, she made her presence at the crime scene.

The higher officials from the police department, forensic experts gathered, and discussions were happening in full swing. She silently observed all the points that were discussed. Everybody dispersed, and she returned home empty-handed. The moon slowly started showing up, a gentle breeze along the window, and tiny stars sparkled. She heard some conversations from the crime scene on her computer. Elene slid a chip into the crime scene that evening. The conversations were not that clear, but the voice was like her father's and the ranked officer who addressed the gathering that evening. She was confused about whether it was her father or someone else associated with the officer in the murder. A night passed by. The following morning, she saw her father calmly sitting and sipping a cup of tea with the newspaper. She was not sure whether to ask her father about the previous night. Instead, she waited for him to leave so that she could follow and catch him red-handed.

Dwindle leisurely drank his cup of tea and ate his favourite cookie. He completed the newspaper and headed to work. She followed him but couldn't find any hint about the murder.

But she smelled something fishy. Usually, Dwindle wouldn't take too much time to finish his cup in the morning. She could sense some sort of long-lasting satisfaction from his actions the entire day.

She thought she could find some clues in her father's room. While he was away, she locked herself up in his room and began her quest.

To her surprise, she found a hidden room inside his closet. By following the path, she ended up in the crime spot. She was shocked and didn't know what to do, but her intuition about her father being a murderer hit her hard and confused her.

After their dinner time, she questioned him about his lasting passion for books, crime novels, etc. She felt this was a trap for her father to fall into as she inquired about murders, ways of killing a person, and the motive behind it. But to her surprise, he didn't spill the beans.

The birds were chirping, trees were rustling, and the beautiful sunrise scratched her eyes. She woke up and saw a bedside breakfast setup. She was awestruck. Her father was smiling at her and wishing her "happy 25 eleny" into her ears.

After this beautiful yet emotional moment, Dwindle started to confess.

"Hey Elene, I know you have so many questions in your head about Peter's death. You are trying to decode the voices you heard. As you guessed, it was my voice conversing with General Haafiz Moideen. I want you to know one important thing about my career. I promised myself that I would reveal my true state once you turn 25. I am not just a bookseller, as you all know. And Dwindle is not my original name. I am an undercover RAW intelligence officer for the past 27 years. Even your mom doesn't know about this. General Haafiz Moideen was the one who asked me to gather information about one of the minds behind our nation's disgrace and the silent war between countries. It took me 27 years to gather each and every move of Insukar al haq Raheem a.k.a. Peter. I was given full authority to take him down once I found out about his upcoming plans. That's what I did. I am so happy and proud of being a murderer of the most dangerous minds in the world. And I am RAW officer Ibrahim Kareem." "That's all I have to say, Elene, and I love you!"

She had nothing to say. She told him only one thing, "Proud to be your daughter with a great salute" and uttered "I love you" with a huge amount of pride.

She sighed and finished her book with the end statement, "The great Espair!"
