The Dark Prince

The Dark Prince

The slave was killed first.

Maybe it was just an act to show all of them that he did know how to murder. And it did work. Lala and his wife were duly afraid. He put the knife on the Lala's fat neck and laughed. Lala’s wife started crying and begging for mercy. “Mercy?” he laughed. “Come on. I have not done anything yet to this beauty.” He said, pointing towards Lala. Suddenly, an imp-like person came running in the house. “Boss,” he said panting, “The Dark Prince has arrived.”

The boss stood up and put the knife in his pocket. He put on his sunglasses and came near the dwarf. “Alright, I will go talk to the master. You handle them.” The dwarf nodded. He took out his pistol, and giving a deaf ear to the cries and begs of the Lala, shot both of them dead. Meanwhile, the boss came out. He waited in the park opposite to the house. Suddenly he saw a dense black cloud near him, which gradually took the form of dark figure – The Dark Prince. Even by his look, nobody could have denied his menacing nature.

He hastily approached the ‘boss’ and ignoring his greetings, he gave him a sound slap. Even the dwarf present inside the house shuddered.

“I told you to torture him, not kill him, you numbskull!” said the Dark Prince.

“Sorry, master.” Said the ‘boss’.

“Now go and torture the second traitor. And remember Krishvan, I don’t want any silly mistake this time.” Said the Dark Prince and vanished.

The dwarf came running, hardly able to conceal a laugh.

“You better close your mouth. Thank God I didn’t wring your neck!” said Krishvan, visibly fuming.

“So sorry boss.” Said the dwarf, visibly frightened.

“Now, we have to go to another house.”

“Sure sir.”

The Dark Prince, when he was born, bore a strange birthmark on his forehead. A sign that looked like a claw of a leopard. As he grew up, he realised his aim: dark fame. He also knew that there was only one sure-shot method for attaining fame: force. His father, the former Dark Prince, ruled over Hufol planet. After his death, his son, Dihom, became the next Dark Prince.

Krishvan was born to the prime minister of Hufol. He was brought up as a slave to Dihom. He had a single aim in his life: to rule over Hufol. Of course, it was a crazy dream. But to his ‘naïve’ mind, this was possible.

Krishvan and the dwarf took their places around the dark circle, and muttered a magical word. Suddenly, the circle started spinning and both of them disappeared into thin air.

When Krishvan reached the second house, he was surprised to find that he had reached alone. He looked around himself. Suddenly, he saw a dead body to his left. He ran towards the body and gasped. He was confused. But he gathered himself, gave the dwarf a tribute, and took his pistol. He ran inside the house.

Once inside, he noticed that he was all alone. He had been cheated. He at once ran for the door, but it had been locked from outside. He kicked the door hard in frustration. Suddenly, he was attacked by an iron rod from behind. He moved away fast owing to his reliable reflexes. He could not see the face due to low lighting. He punched the enemy hard. The enemy backed off a little.

“Thought you could betray me, huh?” asked the enemy.

“Who the hell are you?”

“Your end.”

The voice sounded familiar to Krishvan. And then the reality dawned upon him: The Dark Prince. He gasped.

Nevertheless, he fought hard. He kicked enemy hard on his torso, followed by a powerful punch. The enemy groaned in pain and fell down on the floor. Krishvan took out the pistol, and aimed at the enemy.

“Kill me, please.” The enemy said.

“Alright. Wish granted.”

Krishvan pulled the trigger and the enemy soon breathed his last.

Krishvan at last managed to break the door. When he came out and stood near the dead body of his friend. Suddenly, there was a movement, an extreme fast one. The dead body stood up and thrusted a knife in Krishvan’s neck. Krishvan died on the spot.

“You truly are a numbskull. So let me clear it to you so that you die with no questions unanswered. The person you killed inside was your dearest slave. I forced that imp to follow my instructions otherwise I would kill his family. He did his job better than even you would have done.

And meanwhile, I took his shape, and now to my utter satisfaction, killed you. What did you think? Thought you could manage a coup, kill me and take over Hufol? Thought so, you numbskull? And now, die with the fact that you killed your innocent, dearest slave-friend. Goodbye.” Said the Dark Prince and vanished out of nowhere.
