The Blind Girl
The Blind Girl
Once, there was a blind girl who harbored a deep self-loathing solely because of her blindness. The one exception to her self-hate was her boyfriend, who had consistently been there for her. She often told him that if she could only see the world, she would marry him.
Then, one remarkable day, someone generously donated a pair of eyes to her. Suddenly, she could see everything, including her boyfriend, who had been her rock throughout her life in darkness.
Upon gaining her sight, her boyfriend posed a question, "Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?"
To her astonishment, when she looked at her boyfriend, she discovered that he was blind too. This unexpected revelation shook her, and she declined his proposal. Heartbroken, her boyfriend walked away, tears streaming down his face. Later, he composed a heartfelt letter for her, which read:
"JUST TAKE CARE OF MY EYES, DEAR."
- **Moral of the story:** When our circumstances change, so too can our perspectives and priorities. Some people may find it challenging to appreciate and adapt to a new reality, no longer able to see the world as they did before. This story imparts multiple lessons, encouraging us to value the people who support us and not to hastily judge others based on appearances or conditions. It serves as a poignant reminder of the complexities of human emotions and relationships and prompts us to treasure the bonds we share with others, regardless of how circumstances may evolve.
