The Beekeeper And The Thief
The Beekeeper And The Thief
Once there was a Beekeeper who kept many bees on his farm. There were many beehives containing honeycombs.
One day a thief crept into his farm when the Beekeeper was away with work. Most of the bees had gone out to collect honey from flowers. And the bees who were in the honeycombs did not sting the thief.
The thief thus conveniently stole the honeycombs and put them in his basket and went away.
When the Beekeeper returned, he was shocked to find the beehives empty. He searched frantically all around but in vain.
In the evening all the bees returned from their work. They could not find their honeycombs but found the Beekeeper near their beehives. So they thought that the Beekeeper must have taken their honeycombs and stung him fiercely.
The Beekeeper cried in pain and said to the bees that the latter let the real thief get away and stung him who took care of them!
The moral of this story is that it is very important to know who our friend is and who is our enemy.
