I got down from the midnight train and as I was exploring the station my train gave a loud horn which scared the death out of me. It was past one in the morning and I was standing on the station all alone. I had struggled a lot to reach this Buchbeing station where I am supposed to halt to continue my journey ahead to weaselton. I just have to spend one night at this place for my train the next day. No one has heard about this place which is approximately 50 miles away from the city and seems like the loneliest place on earth. The weather was cool and the station was dark with only two lights hanging from the ceiling and one broken board with its name on. The station could be capable of even scaring the ghosts away.

There were no more trains passing by and silence filled the air around me. I decided to stay strong and just find a hotel for myself. I saw a watchman standing in the corner. I walked towards him and asked him if there was any hotel around. He gave me a creepy look and asked me to follow him. He took me to a hotel just beside the station and told me that it was the nearest hotel right now and the rest are at a distance of an hour. I had no energy to travel for an hour more and so decided to stay at that hotel for the night.

The hotel was big and clean but the furniture was half-burned and a smell of rotten meat. There was a young lady dressed neatly at the reception. She handed over me the register to fill in my information. When I opened it there was not a single word written in it. It was a blank book. I asked the receptionist if there were any guests at their hotel, for which she replied that all the guests are asleep and she has given me a new register as the old one had just finished. I filled in the information as asked and she led me to my room. We went through the lift which had only 2 floors the ground where the reception is and the first where my room is which simply means that the hotel has two floors.

I went into my room and lied down on the bed to get some sweet dreams only if the dreams had not changed to my worst nightmare.

Only a half an hour had passed when some strange noises started to cover the silence of my room. I couldn’t sleep and realized that the noise was coming from the floor above me. I called the reception but the line was dead. The noise stopped after a while. Then suddenly a frame which hung on the wall fell down. When I checked it, it had no broken part nor did the wall have a screw to hang the frame. Then how was the frame hanging? I decided to check it in the morning but I felt creepy. I fell asleep. I was trying not to get up but the honks for the train woke me. I went to the window. The station and the tracks were clearly visible but there was no train. The invisible train gave another honk and I could hear the tracks trembling as the train passed by but there was no train. Then the noise ended with a loud thud like the train just crashed. I thought it was my dream and went back to sleep.

The next morning, while getting ready for my check out I was continuously thinking about the strange events that took place last night. As I entered the lift to press the button, for my shock I realized that there was no floor above my room! I was freaked out as if there was no floor above than where was that noise coming from? I rushed to the reception and there was no one there. I couldn’t wait at the hotel anymore and kept some money at the table and got a cab at a distance of 10 minutes.

The driver saw me worried and asked me the reason. I told him the full creepy incident. The driver told me the truth behind whatever happened with me which completely froze me to death. He told me that a month ago a train had got its break failed and had crashed straight into the hotel. The accident was horrifying and it killed all the passengers, the hotel members, and the station watchman. After that accident, a watchman is always seen on the gate, a train is heard on the station and the people who visited the hotel never came back. He told me that I was lucky to come out safely. Then he suddenly stopped the car. I asked him the reason, so he told me that even he himself died in the accident and vanished in thin air.
