Surprise….!

Her heartbeat rose when she entered the railway station. She was waiting for this moment for the past eight months. She was very excited and tensed to meet her boyfriend. They were college sweethearts. He moved out of the town because of the job. The cute relationship changed into a long-distance relationship.

First, it was very hard for both of them but gradually they got habituated. She was caring and he was funny and very possessive. Chatting, video calls, the whole social network helped their relationship a lot. They both used to share every detail with each other, but from the last few weeks, there was a change in his behavior. He ignored her messages, calls and she was worried. He didn’t even tell her that he was coming to the town. She got to know by their common friends. She was scared. A million thoughts were running in her mind when she sat on the bench in the railway station. She was checking the time every two minutes.

Finally, the train arrived. She was searching for him and stopped at the pillar by looking at him. He was surrounded by his brother and friends. She wanted to go there and hug him tightly but she stood just staring at him. He looked at her suddenly when he was talking with his friends. His smile vanished and he turned away. Her heart broke into pieces. He is her only love, he is her world. Her eyes are filled with water, she felt heavy in her heart. After two minutes he came to her.

 “What are you doing here?” his words were harsh. “I came for you” she uttered slowly with the tears filled eyes. “What’s wrong with you?” he asked by seeing her face. She didn’t answer him. “You always do this. You have spoiled everything, you…..” he started talking continuously without letting her speak. “But I …..” “What? Did I ask you to come?” he is not giving her a chance to talk. “Stop teasing her,” his friend said from behind. “What did I do?” he said to his friend and turned back to her.

A tear rolled down from her eyes and her cheeks became wet. “wo…..wo….am just joking, stop crying” he said by holding her hand. “You didn’t tell me that you were coming” her voice was chocking. “I want to surprise you” she didn’t listen to him. “You were not even answering my calls you are ignoring……” tears rolling from her eyes. “Am sorry I didn’t mean to hurt you and I never ignore you, I was just teasing you baby, please stop crying” he wiped tears from her face. He took out a small box from his pocket and opened it.

 “Will you marry me?” he asked her with a ring in his hand. She was surprised. Her heartbeat rose again but this time because of happiness. All of her fears, all of her doubts vanished. “I……” she looked straight into his eyes. “Come on say yes,” he asked her anxiously. “Yes” she said with the happiest and bright smile. This time her cheeks were wet because of the happy tears. The happiness was clearly seen in her eyes. The excitement cleared all the nervousness of her face. He hugged her tightly “I thought of surprising you but you…..” “Surprise,” she said with a smile.
