superstition (andhavishvass)

     Once upon a time. There was a Sadhu . Sadhu name was Sham. He was walking on road and suddenly a cat came to him the cat was looking very tired and hungry . Sham was feeling pity { daya bhaavana} for the cat and he take the cat to his ashram . In his ashram he gave him food and water . Sham like the cat and he keep the cat as his pet but when Sham start his meditation the cat started disturbing him . Sham was frustrated by the cat . He was thinking what to do now. He had an idea. Their was a tree in front of ashram .He take the cat to the tree and just tie the cat with the tree and after the meditation he open the cat. The process was going on each day. Befor starting the meditation Sham use to tie the cat with the tree and after the meditation he use to open it. Suddenly Sham had a heart attack and he died. Sham was the head of the ashram and after him his student Pratham was the head . When Partham was sitting for meditation he was knowing that when his teacher use to sit for meditation he use to tie the cat with the tree and as same as his teacher do, he also do the same. Partham also tie the cat with the tree. Every time Partham use to do same . Some days whent and cat also die. Now everyone was wandering what to do now???? One of the member of ashram said bring a new cat. Everyone was agree. They bring a new cat . The new cat was also treated as same as old one they also tie the cat before starting the meditation and relic after meditation . The process was going on similarly. It was converted into custom {pratha}. Every one was thinking that it is a god gifted  custom {pratha}. But it was not a custom {pratha} it was a misunderstanding which was going on and people were following it by closing their eye. 

Moral: - don’t believe on anything which does not have any sense or which stop you to do right. Don’t believe on any custom {pratha} which doesn't make any sense.
