Stuck In A Dream
Stuck In A Dream
It was the summer season. I was woken up at the crack of dawn by the vociferous cacophony of birds. But this didn't feel anywhere near irksome. In fact, it made me feel perky and lively. I woke up, organized the bed, and made my way towards the bathroom. The creaking of the wooden rustic floor reminded me that I wasn't in my house. I was in a dreamy treehouse, the one which I had grown up thinking about. Finally, in my 20s today, I had a chance to experience it. And I could only describe it in one word: Surreal.
This place was like a vintage treehouse. It lay amidst the canopies of the lush green timbers, graced with a wide range of feathered friends. It was encapsulated by an ethnic and pleasant aura. Crafted from rustic timber, its beauty was enhanced by adding a modern minimalist touch to it. It had small plants like snake plants present at every other corner. It was spacious enough for each of the family members to have a separate room.
Near our refuge was a fast-flowing river. Enchanting Lilies and Lotus glided upon the bosom of this flowing river. Strangely though, the insects and animals played harmoniously along the bank of this river.
The sun was yet to grace the sky, and this incomplete darkness of early morning was something I heartily relished.
In a couple of hours, we were supposed to leave for our house again, but I couldn't just get my heart comfortable with that thought. These three days had been magical for all of us family members. This treehouse had quietly enjoyed our mischievous banters, hilarious jokes, messy cooking, and most importantly, our crazy pillow fights. This place had brightened our days; it had supplied us with infinite energy to deal with every day positively. The river downstairs had been our best friend not only while cooking but also while meditating and swimming.
We might leave this place in a while, but I can guarantee myself that my mind won't. This place's scenic beauty has still left me spellbound. And I am sure that my mind is going to stay stuck in this dreamy place. Always and forever.
