Before you Read- This story is not imaginary. It's about a middle school boy, who becomes very popular and respected when he grows up. Guess his name before you read...….

There was a student named Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi in Rajkot city, Gujrat. This is a story of more than 100 years ago. It was British rule in India.

One day, an educational inspector came to Mohandas's school for inspection. He dictated a few words to Mohandas's class for writing. One of the words was kettle. Mohandas misspelled it. His class teacher tried to prompt Mohandas to copy it from his neighboring student. But Mohandas declined to do so.

He thought the teacher was there to prevent the students from committing dishonesty. To the contrary of his belief, the teacher promoted Mohandas to do dishonesty. But Mohandas preferred to get blame for his mistake rather than boasting dishonesty for his answer.

This love for truth and honesty made Mohandas a great man and is known today as Mahatma Gandhi.
