Somewhere between the void

"What if every bad situation wasn't solved by us. But by a species we try to ignore. The proof is there, but do we care? We ignore these stuff until someone who's fascinated comes along, they explain it than people are finally are interested. Years of letting it go unnoticed until some random human finds out about it.

The year was 2018. A scientist named, "Edward Simmons" thought if there could be another dimension inside of ours some double dimension he thought he spent years trying to figure it out bit whenever he was close something happened the evidence randomly disappeared as if someone didn't want us to know. But who?

In 2031 another scientist named "James Simmons" was inspired by his dad's work, (Edward Simmons) he worked at the same lab he used. But eventually he found a door he never saw before, it was brown door it didn't match with the other parts of the lab. After opening the door leading to a bright white room, inside that room he saw some of his dad's work. It seemed like his dad was working on a portal. He remembered from year's earlier he heard his dad talking to his mom about how he is building a portal using the memory from his missing work leading to a dimension the same dimension were in right now in hopes it would bring him into the 2nd dimension inside ours (The double dimension).

He copied this work and built his own portal. He went into it and saw something he thought he'd never saw slug like creatures. Controlling humans. Like big scientist's solving sickness. As if every smart, or brave, or world changing people were created by these slug like creatures to solve our problems.

After the incident he kept telling people what happened no one believed him. He died in 2057. And the cycle continued year after year after year. When will people believe?
