Searching for sunshine [Sunshine (day 3)]

"Long back my story goes, when there were no cries of sorrow to be found.

Everyone covered in bliss for they were in their city safe and sound." said the man with a yellow turban and big beard, holding a sword in his hands as the maids bowed in front of him.

"But now it feels like someone stole our sunshine for my sun is covered in gloom and there are no smiles to be found on his handsome face." the king continued.

"We shall find the lost sunshine for our prince can't be exposed to sorrows the world welcomes." said the king's minister. The king nodded and fell deep into thought.

"This is a task for everyone present in this precious court. Whoever finds the perfect solution to bring the happiest smile on my son's face will get a huge prize of ten thousand gold coins from me." the king stated and everyone's face filled with greed and they started searching for every way to make the prince smile.

"I know a very famous magician that will surely make the young man smile." said a young lady from meters away. The magician was called but sadly the magician couldn't make the prince smile.

"I make royal dresses, a great suit would surely make him happy."

"My daughter is a hairdresser, a new look would make him cheerful."

"A good supper made by seven chefs from seven different continents I can provide, which will surely make our young lad happy."

"I own a gigantic hall that has an interesting maze with a lot of surprises. That will surely make our prince enthusiastic."

Everyday, every hour, every minute, every second came with a huge amount of ideas but they couldn't cover prince's face with delight. The king finally went into his son's room and sat near him, "Son, tell me! Tell me what would bring a bright smile on your face, tell me what would make you jubilant? Your sadness and silence makes me worried now."

"So you finally found it necessary to actually come and ask your son and coming out of your busy schedule?"

"What are talking about, son?"

"Everyday I wake up to a sweet voice of the choir that you own for the marvelous and natural voice of the birds isn't allowed in our sophisticated palace. Everyday I have meals made by chefs from all around the world for you abandoned my mother who used to make me delicious meals. I have to play with the maids around here for you wouldn't allow me to go out and play with other children as you have made your mind that they are a bad influence for me. Every evening I have to eat my tablets in a bulk for you think that they are better than the fresh air that can possibly make me feel better and as soon as you realized that I was sad and gloomy, you though it would be better to let the people decide what would make me happy by arranging artificial things in which I have lost my interest." the young man took a long breath. "You really did search for sunshine but the one that is artificial would never last long and I thought you would understand better than anyone else."

A splash of realization slapped the king and all he could do was sit still and remember the days when the actual sunshine, the prince's mother used to dwell in the happiest hours of his lives.
