Rowdies of Rajasthan

Chapter 1 

There once was a man, young, handsome and intelligent whose name was Omnath Banerjee. He was a famous detective in Bengal. He had a son; Ranjit Banerjee who was in his teens would always go with his father to solve cases. The detective also has a friend who used to accompany them, Ramesh Haldar. It was a usual day; Omnath was sipping tea and reading the newspaper while Ranjit was reading some magazine.

Their bell rang, it was Ramesh. Durga puja was around the corner so the trio decided to go shopping. As they were shopping someone called from behind "Excuse me, is that the famous detective Mr. Omnath Banerjee". The detective replied with a yes. The person who called introduced himself as Mr. Naik. He wanted to meet the detective and talk about a case so asked for a time and the address of the detective. In the evening Mr. Naik narrated his problem. He said, "There is a man who looks like me but is not my twin. I am the only child of my parents. Last Monday a salesman called from a gifts shop and told that I had bought a meenakari vase and a dagger with a fake five hundred rupees bill. But why will I buy a meenakari vase in Kolkata, I live in Jaipur and so will get them in half price".

He told some more incidents that happened with him and then bid the trio goodbye and told them that he would be leaving for Jaipur the next morning. After sometime the detective's phone rang. It was from Mr. Basu who had to urgently discuss something with Omnath. They fixed his appointment the next morning at nine. Next morning had arrived and it was about ten o clock when they got a call again. This time it was from Kolkata police. They said that this number was written in the diary of the murdered man. Omnath asked, "Who is murdered?" It was Mr. Basu, the one who had called them last night.

Chapter 2

  As soon as the threesome heard this they went to the crime scene. They were greeted by an officer and were lead to the scene. In the scene they saw that Mr. Basu was stabbed with a dagger. Their first suspect was the twin of Mr. Naik; Omnath knew that the murderer had returned to his home town, Jaipur. The triplex decided to take a trip to Jaipur . As they reached Jaipur they meet Mr. Naik and narrated him the incident. Mr. Naik was as shocked as they were. After some conversations the trio went to their hotel. At the reception of the hotel the detective was called by Harinath. He wanted to tell something, something very important. All of them went to the hotel room. In the hotel room Harinath said that his son had recently died, who was a helicopter pilot and a few weeks ago he had cut himself. His friend, Basu had insisted him to take an injection shot. Harinath's son took the shot from Dr. Dom, the most famous doctor in Jaipur.

But a few days after, his son became sick and died last week. When the threesome heard the name Basu, they were surprised. They told Harinath that Basu was murdered in Kolkata, with this Harinath part with the trio. After some rest, the team of three went for some shopping. In the market, they could feel that someone was following them. Then they saw the twin of Naik, Ranjit and Ramesh followed the twin while Omnath went to talk with Dr. Dom. Omnath told the doctor that he suspects him of not giving the correct shot of injection. The doctor refused, "It can't be possible. I use the best drugs in town." The detective didn't say anything else but left. While leaving he cunningly grabbed an injection so that he could check if the doctor was telling the truth. On the other hand Ranjit and Ramesh kept following the twin of Naik. They could not predict what was going to happen next. They saw that the twin of Naik was smuggling gold.

Chapter 3

That evening the trio went to the casino. At the casino they were having fun when they were kidnaped. After an hour of two Omnath gained consciousness. It was his biggest enemy, Rony who had kidnapped them. Rony wanted Omnath to meet someone, it was Naik. Then the detective realized that there no one who looked like Naik, it was he who was trying to confuse the detective. Rony was the ring leader of the smuggling of gold and Naik was his right hand. Suddenly the door breaks and police force comes inside. It turns out that Omnath had suspected this and had asked the Nepal police to follow him. Everything started to fall in place.

Harinath's son was killed with that injection by doctor Dom, who also worked for Rony. Harinath's son had discovered the smuggling ring. He must have narrated the story to his friend, Basu, who after his friend was death wanted to tell this to Omnath. That is why Omnath's phone number was in Basu's diary. Soon after Dr. Dom was also caught and put in jail. The trio finished their work, did some more shopping, and went back to their home, Kolkata.
