The last trip to Sikkim was so enthralling for Krishanu that for him the Sikkim's awesome beauty beggars description. Sikkim abounds with the natural beauty of alluring scenery and enchanting greenery.

Sikkim is the land of Red Panda and orchids, placid lakes and turbulent waterfalls, awesome Blood Pheasant and exhilarating Rhododendrons, captivating snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas, rapturing beauty of tea gardens. Sikkim is also an ecological hotspot located in the lower Himalayas famous for its biodiversity. Located in the lap of the Himalayas, this land is also the home of the Lepchas, Vajrayani Buddhism( vehicle of the thunderbolt) and the famous Buddhist saint Padmasambhava. The native Lepcha people call this land "Nye-mye El" which means paradise. Sikkim also comes from the combination of "Su" (means beautiful) and "Kim"(means palace). Thus Sikkim itself is a very beautiful palace of nature. Surrounded by the greenery of blue pine, oaks, junipers, bamboos and rhododendrons and breathtaking snow-capped mountains, this land has its aroma. It is the home of the Himalayan leopard and the great Himalayan bear. It is the land of serene Buddhist monasteries like Rumtek, Dubdi(the oldest),Kartok( the most beautiful), Lingdum, Pemayangtse, and many others.

Exhilarating serene placid lakes like Cholamu, Gurudongmar, Khecheopalri, Lakshmi Pokhari Lake, Tsomgo Lake and many more.

When he eyed the awesome panorama of the Sunset from the Sunset Point located near Pelling City, his mind was overwhelmed with ecstasy. In his mind, was created the poetic fantasy. His vision was filled with a strange euphoria. Still, when he is in Kolkata now, his heart dances with the awesome nostalgia.

But, the best gift that Krishanu has got was the fierce terrifying idol that he got from the museum of the famous Rumtek Monastery. From his college life, Krishanu is fond of antics. It is the subject in which he takes a deep interest.

Krishanu was amazed when he saw the fierce idol in the museum for the very first time. He demanded to take the idol with him to his beautifully well-decorated flat in the 'city of joy', Kolkata. The Lama of the Rumtek Monastery warned him that the idol was cursed. It was the idol of Kàlàg, a terrifying evil soul. In the remote past, the fearsome terrible evil had been turned into that idol by the great Padmapāni himself.

But now it was powerless because it was kept with great care in the abode of Buddha. But if it was taken away, then the evil would arise again and make the peace of the world at sixes and sevens. If it entered into a human body, then the human being would turn into a fearsome bloodsucker devil and he will ruin all goodness of this world. But unfortunately, Krishanu turned a deaf ear to Lama's warning. He began to bargain for that and he told for him it was priceless. And finally, his obstinacy and stubbornness won. He came to Kolkata with that golden idol and kept that priceless thing in his bedroom.

Krishanu returned from his office at night. After having a rejuvenating bath, he completed his dinner and entered his bedroom. And the thing he first noticed was the golden idol. Its eyes were brimming with wild desire. "Oh my God, the eyes are glowing. Meanwhile, all the terrors of the universe are kept in the pair of eyes. Oh God, am I dreaming? Why is it looking so alive?" A hypnotized Krishanu looked at the cursed idol constantly while the idol was changing its shape and turning into a fearsome being. Krishanu was stand-still. He lost his power of moving. He looked and looked while murmuring meaningless things.

The night got over. The next morning Krishanu met his beautiful girlfriend Mishtu after a long time. It was a beautiful morning. The sun was shining in full glory. The couple met in the garden beautified with Tulip and Jasmine. After an exchange of few words, both got indulged in a romantic passionate kiss. Mishtu's heart was filled with the euphoria of never-failing love, she was burning with the thirst of desire. But Krishanu was burning too, he was burning with the never-failing thirst for human blood. His eyes were turned into red feary eyes. He was Krishanu no more. He was the terrible, fearful, bloodsucker evil. The evil had arisen again. He was the Kalàg.

The next day Mishtu's bloodless dead body was found in the park. Everyone was in the puzzle. The police were at their wit's end. But nobody knew the fact that Evil had entered into the city.
