Once a global superstar, adored by kids and adults alike., winner of awards. Even fellow stars of stage and screen were like his skin, green with envy, but enthralled by his crazy voice and unique talent: Kermit the Frog had all the trappings of fame and success. He had plenty of money, a mansion in Beverly Hills, a yacht moored in Monaco, jewels, and a large collection of art. But the viewing people are fickle, are always after the latest, freshest new idols and heroes to worship. Less folk watched his shows and movies. His star staus began to dim, his aura less bright, as new stars were born, and eventually his glory and fame disappeared. When the adoration stopped, that’s when his addiction to booze crept into his life. From a casual drinker at weekends, to week long binges, soon the alcohol had corrupted him entirely. A once pleasant and intriguing frog to be around, was now a foul mouthed, brothel haunting, booze fuelled, nihilist. From having-it-all, to having lost-it-all, Kermit the frog died alone in the gutter, his liver failing, ravaged by the poison of booze. Nobody noticed him for a time, they never do, once your shine has gone.
