She took her laptop and signed in to her account. There were 6 unread mails. The 1st mail was a promotional event mail, 2nd mail was from store regarding sale, and she didn’t even care to open them. Her eyes struck on the 3rd mail. She opened the mail. She was on cloud nine by seeing the words “Congratulations, you are selected”. She was waiting for the mail so eagerly and finally she got it. She ran in to the hall from her bedroom and said to her parents. Her parents were so happy. “When is the joining date?” her dad asked. “I didn’t check it.” “Then what you did?” her mom asked her. “I just read first line and came out." Her parents smiled when she said. She was so excited that she didn’t even read the full mail. She went back in to her room and started reading the whole mail. All her excitement vanished by seeing the job location. She knows her parents won’t allow her to go alone.

“Why don’t you let your dad drop you?” “Maa, I am not a kid,” she said while keeping her things in the bag. “Beti, I will drop you there and set the things and will come back,” dad trying to convince her. “But papa, it’s not in our city to come and drop by, it's Bombay papa, almost 16 to 18 hours journey by train.” This was the discussion going in her house almost every day from past 10 days. She never went to the other city alone, actually she had never gone alone anywhere. Always her dad or mom used to accompany her. Even to the nearby store she went with her mom. The schooling and college were within the city and all were nearby to their home. This is her first job. She tried very hard to convince her parents to go out of the city. Her parents were not at all happy by her decision. Of course they were happy about her job but not about the place.

“Beti papa will come there drop you at the hostel and he will come back,” mom said her. “Maa, papa both of you listen to me it’s a girls hostel they won’t allow you to get inside. After all this journey you…” “That’s Ok, I will manage beti,” dad interrupted. “It’s easy to say papa but you will be tired.” “You know my colleague's relatives stay there I will ask him to call,” dad said and took his mobile. “Papa no need I am not alone.” “At least take his number you can call if needed,” mom said seriously. She couldn’t deny her parents. She tried very hard and she finally convinced them to go alone. She made her parents believe that she is confident to go alone. She packed all the stuff needed and she was all set to go. Her parents helped her with loading the baggage in to the car. Until that moment she was so confident, excited and thrilled to go, but when she started travelling to station she felt different.

She is excited but deep inside she is so nervous and has zero percent confidence to get into the train. There are mixed feelings going in her heart. Her head is full of all kinds of thoughts. As the distance decreased, the nervousness in her heart increased. Finally, they have reached to the railway station. Her parents gave her all the safety tips. When she saw the train, the confidence dropped down to minus levels like the temperature in winter season. She became cold. Her feet and palms became all wet with nervousness. Her eyes were filled with tears. She very much wanted her parents to come with her but she managed to keep calm. There were no expressions on her face. She controlled her tears to not to roll down and hugged her parents, gave them a happy smile and got into the train. “Be safe!” “I will be Ok maa.” “Call me immediately ...” “Yes papa,” she interrupted him and waved bye. The journey started with excitement and nervousness. Finally she was never alone to all alone.
