My favourite historical figure is Mahathma Gandhi

My favorite historical figure is Mahatma Gandhi. I like the simplicity with which Gandhiji lived. When I was in Mumbai Solanki uncle, the teacher uncle in our neighborhood took we kids to Mani Bhavan the place where Gandhi ji lived for short period in MumbaiGandhi ji lived a very simple peaceful nonviolent life and always cared for we Indians.

We can sleep peacefully today thanks to the nonviolent ways preached and practiced by Gandhiji. . I was very lucky to visit this place because this place had many artifacts which Gandhiki used. I could see Gandhiji pen, Gandhiji's Charkha the charkha with which Gandhi ji could spin yarn. Also, I could see Gandhijis spectacles, the round shaped spectacles used in post-independence era.

Mani Bhavan was a simple place but the place has such great items stored. We kids were allowed to see from far distance. This memory is a very treasured memory for me. I will always treasure my visit there thanks to Solanki uncle. Solanki uncle was a true Gandhian. Uncle always led a simple life. Solanki uncle also hailed from Gujarat. Solanki always believed in a simplistic life. I, Appu, and Rahul we three were taken to Mani Bhavan I feel. Due to my faded memories, I cannot recollect them all. But whatever I remember I have written here my dear friends.
