My Dream School

If I were to run a school of my own, its administration and management would be done in a completely different manner. Some kids find school quite boring but my school would be so much fun that no one would ever want to miss school.

There will be no homework in my school. Recess will be for one hour in which kids can play any outdoor games which they want to like Basketball, Football, Hockey, Kho-Kho, Handball etc. Students need not have to carry any books consisting of white pages with lots of printed matter on it. They would be owning a mini iPad each, on which they would type whatever teachers tell them to take down. The subjects taught in my school would be Music, Arts, Craft, Cooking, Martial Arts like Taekwondo, Judo, KungFu, Karate etc. There would be one sleeping period everyday where even teachers would fall asleep along with students. Sleeping helps to calm down the mind.

There would be no rules imposed on girls in particular to tie their hair in two plaits or two ponies, they could make any hairstyle as they wished. Girls could even put makeup, nail enamel etc. The uniform for Boys & Girls would be formals consisting of white shirt (half or full as per the student wish) for both boys and girls and a black skirt with stockings for girls. For Boys it would be black jeans. Only on Fridays, students could wear informal or whatever they wanted. However, girls are not allowed to wear clothes which are backless and shorter than the knee length.

Parents would not be troubled to come to school for PTM’s. There would be a school website in which the parents could login to the particular class of their wards and have a video conference with the class teacher. By employing this method, a whole lot of privacy would be maintained, as parents could speak to the teacher openly and separately.

Apart from all this, the students would also be encouraged to participate in many extra-curricular activities such as inter-house cooking competition, inter-house music festival, showcase your talent in which the students would have to do whatever was told to them on the spot etc.
