Mental Agony

Everybody will face this mental agony at least once in their life.

I too faced this situation many times. In 2012, a person named Mannem Venkateswarlu, alias Mannem Rakesh,

Cheated me and many other people. Actually, he is from Addanki village, which is in Prakasam district.

He came and settled in HMT Swarnapuri Colony.

His children used to study in MNR school.

In 2012, I planned to purchase a house in HMT Swarnapuri Colony, Miyapur.

Mannen Rakesh is a house broker then.

He contacted me and assured me that he would show me a better apartment.

He contacted the house owner Suvith Kondadi, who is an IT professional.

I paid Mannen Rakesh 2 lakhs as advance.

He gave the receipt to me and handed over the advance to Sunitha, the owner of the apartment.

Slowly, he handed over the key and I paid the full amount to Mannem Rakesh.

We didn't know that he did not pay the amount to Suvith, the owner.

We almost completed the woodwork; then Mannem Rakesh, along with his wife and two children, disappeared from their apartment.

I lodged a complaint at the Miyapur police station. Police tried their best to find them.

Till now, they did not find his address.

The apartment owner Suvith returned the advance money given to him.

He did not return the remaining money.

He said that Mannen Rakesh did not give the remaining money.

Afterward, police found that Mannem Rakesh cheated many people in Addanki village and nearby areas before coming to HMT colony.

Anyhow, till now, nobody has been able to trace him.

I lost all my life savings in this incident.

I felt great mental agony.

It took me a few days to come to a normal mental position.

Till now, I am not able to cope with the financial situation.

We hope Mannem Rakesh will be caught soon.
